Detailing NY

New member
Ok, this may be a little early but I have some time to type this up.

I try to offer a help day every year for newbies and others who want to come and hang out and detail.

I will be holding another detail day this spring. depending on the people that respond depends on the location.

Just so everyone understands, i will not be detailing your car, i will be there to help YOU detail YOUR car. In the past people have shown up thinking I was detailing for free (I don't think so :) )

This is a great time for you to loose that fear of the PC or Rotary, to see how much product to really use, little tricks us pro's use.

I plan to add more as we go along and will be posting more.

Remember this is a free day, no charge for help.

I'm always jealous of these get-togethers, so keep us posted as to dates. I might hit the road just for kicks. Thanks for the offer!

Hey NYD, I'm back and forth from NY to CT all the time, a little trip to Staten Island is nothing.

Count me in...There is always something you can take from these events, even if it's just meeting new friends.

Any ideas on dates?

awesome, looks like we will have a good bunch getting together. As for the dates is it totally opened at this time. I am thinking late April or early may. The weather is a little crazy that time of year.

A 4 hour drive may not be too much for you, but being only 17, it seems like a lot for me, 4 hours to get there, a few hours there, 4 hours to get back. I only know how to get to maine/vermont/canada/boston :(

I'd definately go if it was a little closer... I'm about 45 mins south of boston and would be willing to drive 5ish hours (I could always drop in on some friends at Fairfield U.) I think its upwards of 6+ hours to NYC though :(

If we have lots of people from far away, and don't want to take the long drive back & forth in one day. Maybe I can set up hotel reservations for you. We can make this like a 2 day detailing day.

I am sure I can get the hotel to come down in price, and that would open us up to more time to go over everything.

What do you think about that?

hey i'm definitly in ...i'm in new jersey so its not a bad trip for me..

i'll take a few vacation days from work so i can go...

This is similar to the detail meets I hold with the bunch here in Chicago. I may supply some products, but you supply the elbow grease.

NYD, If I had the $$ and time, I'd definitely take you up on it.

A hotel would make things much easier and I would definately make the trip down. Hopefully by the time this goes down I'll either have my new car or my new paintjob. Either way I'm looking forward to going.

ok, i will contact a few hotels to get pricing, i will also see if they have an area we can use and give demo's.

Maybe we can turn this into a small seminar, if we get enough people.
