Waffle weaves.

So I brought my waffle weave into work today to see if it would help get deliveries out quicker...did it even, by the way....but I noticed that if I went over the emblems, the the corners would kinda catch the threading or the weave or whatever and pull some thread out of the towel. It's not too big a deal at the moment, I just pull the towel to bring the threading back in, but I'm worried it will quickly ruin the towel. Does this happen with all waffle weaves? Or can someone recommend one (or some) where the threading won't come out.

Mine, I believe, is a Meguiars. I never had any trouble with it marring or not drying, so I'd hate to mess it up.

It happens with any woven towel.

The plusher and “looser the weave the more likely it is to happen. It will happen more with long-nap, plush towels and waffle weaves. But it can happen with smooth weaves too.

With practice, you’ll learn not to run it over “snaggy stuff.

Yea, Ive noticed the same thing, just stay away from emblems and such.

Blot the area around those to prevent that from happening.

some cars are more prone to snagging up your towels due to sharp edges, molding, etc. My father-in-law's Grand Marquis is one of those cars so whenever I dry his car, I will use a thicker waffle weave instead of the ultra-soft waffle weave.

Thanks for the input guys. After using it I decided I needed more than just the one, but didn't know if I should get the same kind or something different. I'll just be more careful.

Thanks again.
