Contrary to conventional towel wisdom, microfiber towels are synthetic because only the synthetic process can produce such small "micro" fibers. There are some all-cotton terry-type "microfiber" towels (DF Towel) but no cotton waffle weaves in the detailing sense. You can find some waffle pattern cotton towels if you hunt around the bed and bath stores or IIRC the kitchen towel aisle at Wal-Mart (while you're there pick up a 2-pack of the white Mainstays dish towels...they may make you forget your quest for cotton).
