Waffle foam pads?

Anyone used those waffled foam pads yet? The salesman at my local detail supply said that if I after I start using them, I will never go back to regular foam.



I didn't buy any, thinking that he was just trying to sell me something I didn't really need. But, I am curious. Whats up with these things?
