VM on textured trim or rubber seals?

After reading all the positive comments about VM, I've decided to give it a try under #16 on a Tahoe I'm going to detail this weekend.

I also have read that many people claim you can use it on virtually all exterior surfaces (paint, glass, chrome, trim, hard rubber, etc.)

I am hesitant to apply VM to rubber window seals or textured plastic trim for fear of staining. Even if it doesn't stain, I'm not sure I will be happy with the look or durability of the results.

Please post your experiences with VM on textured plastic and rubber trim.

Thanks!

I've seen no staining from VM on trim, seals, glass, etc. For rubber seals I use 303, VM is good enough for trim IMO.

smprince1-I've used it on the surfaces in question and I did *NOT* get any staining. FWIW, I've also used straight waxes (some Malm's but mostly Souveran) on such surfaces on my Jag since the 1980's with no problems.

I have used Souveran on rubber seals for years with out any staining or problems.

I agree. VM on trim is excellent. I actually like it so much, it is my go to product for black plastic mirrors now. It makes them wet looking, and keeps them that way for a long time, even after a few rains.

It's the best product I have come across for those surfaces, doesn't enhance the shine, just restores to original look, you will need some rubber cleaner and a protectant to give it full gloss
