I'm finally going to get my shipment this friday, so it's gonna be one helluva a detailing weekend !!!!

Here are my possible product assortments.

Luv this site, but my pocketbook is taking a beating.. :D

On a Red Car here's what I plan to use.

It has no swirls, straight from the dealer. I was going to wash, clay

SSR 1 - green pad

VM - sonus green pad ?

RMG -sonus blue pad ?

WG x 2 - LC black pad

Natty's Blue x 2 by hand

On a silver SUV with heavy swirls:

SSR3 x sonus orange pad

SSR1 x sonus green pad

VM - sonus green pad ?

RMG - sonus blue pad ?

UPP x 2 - LC black pad

Natty's Blue x 2 by hand

you think SSR1 is still needed before VM ?

which sonus pads ?

thanks again for your input.. pics will be posted in click n brag.. will be posting the blue suv tonight ..

My personal opinion would be that VM "and" RMG will be overkill. Wait until you see the vehicle after VM

Two glazes is just too much IMHO.

I would use the RMG on the Red car and the VM on the Silver car with the blue pad for both :xyxthumbs

actually i don't think it will be overkill as i've been searching threads and people have been doing a VM then RMG sequence.. thanks for the tip regardless

VM and RMG may be over kill but they results are fantastic - do it on the red. Probably would choose one or other on the silver though. If the red car looks in good shape I think I would skip the SSR 1 though. VM on a polishing pad cleans up good shape paint a treat.

I agree with Rickt. VM and RMG will not be overkill, but definitiely skip the SSR 1. VM will be sufficient and the look will be amazing. I used both VM and RMG on my marron B14 over labor day. It was very nice! Have fun!!

JJ

I'd skip the SSR1 too. I would just to VM/RMG, VM on a polishing pad and RMG on a finishing pad. I use SSR1/RMG, but I think since you have VM you might as well use it, and it will do the same job as ssr1.

are you sure? ;) :lol

but VM and RMG is a very nice combo. yeah, it may seem like a bit too much, that is until you do it and see how nice it turns out. :woohoo: (i tried that combo on my Azure Blue Mach1 and topped the VM/RMG with Trade Secret wax, and it had that wet salad oil look.) so for the red car you might want to try VM + RMG + Natty's Blue. maybe just do a small portion of the hood and see if that's something you like. but for the silver, i would say use either one, but then again, maybe VM the whole car, and then try a small portion of the hood with RMG and see if it's something you like.

but whatever you choose, VM and RMG are good products, and are a nice combo.

Okay , so this ?

On the Red Audi

VM - sonus green pad

RMG -sonus blue pad

WG x 2 - LC black pad

Natty's Blue x 2 by hand

On a Silver SUV with heavy swirls:

SSR3 x sonus orange pad

VM - sonus green pad

RMG - sonus blue pad

UPP x 2 - LC black pad

Natty's Blue x 2 by hand

whaddya think ?

going from SSR3 straight to VM ? i will most certainly try it this weekend

thanks again

I don't think VM is going to take out hazing from the SSR3, but it's worth a shot. If not just give it a pass with some SSR2.5 on a polishing pad or something before VM.

That Audi is going to look sweet. :)

Agree with above, You could go SSR 3, SSR 2 then VM. I really wouldnt bother with both VM and RMG on Silver though. Difference is not noticeable in the way it is with darker colours of using both.

Ok, that makes perfect sense.

In that case, one could substitute a different light polish, like FP, and keep VM for when its glaze is required.

BTW, don't get too use to having the Ashes...in 18 mths it'll be back home in Australia where it belongs. :chuckle: :D

I have never been one to brag! LOL- Was some good cricket to watch.

Yeah any light polish before RMG in place off VM will look good.

When RMG is used after VM though on dark colours as fanatstic as the surface looks after the VM the RMG adds even more depth and wetness which is why I use both, they really work well together.

Yes, it was the best Test I have ever had the privilege of watching...what a contest!

The result is probably good for the game, and good for England's spirit considering the bombings and all that.
