actually i don't think it will be overkill as i've been searching threads and people have been doing a VM then RMG sequence.. thanks for the tip regardless
VM and RMG may be over kill but they results are fantastic - do it on the red. Probably would choose one or other on the silver though. If the red car looks in good shape I think I would skip the SSR 1 though. VM on a polishing pad cleans up good shape paint a treat.
I agree with Rickt. VM and RMG will not be overkill, but definitiely skip the SSR 1. VM will be sufficient and the look will be amazing. I used both VM and RMG on my marron B14 over labor day. It was very nice! Have fun!!
I'd skip the SSR1 too. I would just to VM/RMG, VM on a polishing pad and RMG on a finishing pad. I use SSR1/RMG, but I think since you have VM you might as well use it, and it will do the same job as ssr1.
but VM and RMG is a very nice combo. yeah, it may seem like a bit too much, that is until you do it and see how nice it turns out. :woohoo: (i tried that combo on my Azure Blue Mach1 and topped the VM/RMG with Trade Secret wax, and it had that wet salad oil look.) so for the red car you might want to try VM + RMG + Natty's Blue. maybe just do a small portion of the hood and see if that's something you like. but for the silver, i would say use either one, but then again, maybe VM the whole car, and then try a small portion of the hood with RMG and see if it's something you like.
but whatever you choose, VM and RMG are good products, and are a nice combo.
I don't think VM is going to take out hazing from the SSR3, but it's worth a shot. If not just give it a pass with some SSR2.5 on a polishing pad or something before VM.
Agree with above, You could go SSR 3, SSR 2 then VM. I really wouldnt bother with both VM and RMG on Silver though. Difference is not noticeable in the way it is with darker colours of using both.
I have never been one to brag! LOL- Was some good cricket to watch.
Yeah any light polish before RMG in place off VM will look good.
When RMG is used after VM though on dark colours as fanatstic as the surface looks after the VM the RMG adds even more depth and wetness which is why I use both, they really work well together.
