Vinyl Protectant Bad for Airbags?

Hi all,



I'm brand new here. Looks like a great site! I've searched the forums a couple times for this, including following the recommended search tips in one of the above stickies, but still no luck.



I read on another site that maybe you shouldn't put Armorall or similar vinyl protectants on airbags. Is this true? I've been using it for years on my airbags. I've had an airbag go off in a small accident, and I seriously don't see how a surface protectant couple possibly interfere with the immense explosive power it takes to ignite an airbag.



Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Never heard of that before. Can't see how possibly it would effect deployment.

Your not really putting it on the airbag just plastic in front of it. So I don't 'think' you would have a problem.

i don't think that it matters except if you put something that could destroy the plastic in front of the air bag
