Vinyl Bolster repair, peeling after appx 2 months. What to do?

I have a 05.5 Audi A4, and had the driver side bolster "repaired" from a local shop that "specializes" in this. The bolster is vinyl.



Anyways, I just noticed that the repair product is now peeling. And it has only been two months. I think the shop could have done a better job to begin with (I ended up paying half of what I was quoted). Due to it looking like they took whatever repair product they use, and smeared it over the cracks.



What type of durability is to be expected from this service?
 
If it's done correctly you should usually go years if not the lifetime of the vehicle. Sometimes the repaired part is stronger than the rest.
