Viking MF mitt...

I picked one of these up at Autozone for $2.99. It is nice and thick. It seems to clean the surface well, holds lots of soapy water and rinses out pretty well. I have some looped MF mitts and like the Viking mitt much better. I'm considering retiring the sheepskin and using the viking mitts. At 2.99 these are quite a bit less than boutique towells and could be used in place of super thick mf towells.

If it's a good as the dark green Viking QD towel, the blue drying towel and the yellow polishing towel, I'm there. These are boutique equivalent MF products available OTC.

Does it have a thumb or is it reversable???

Thanks!

it's slightly thicker and tighter than the drying towell. The advantage for product removal is that you can put your hand inside. you might use a couple as the surface area is smaller than a buffing towell.

can't go wrong with some of the viking products (just as good as the boutique brands) these days (love the quick detailing and drying towel!) i also just retired a viking sheepskin mitt that i've used for over 2 years and it's still in good shape... :bigups

So the drying towel is good stuff? It is not WW. I thought WW was the way to go for drying?

Yeah, they call it a "drying towel" but I don't use it as such. It is not a WW and IMO WW is better for drying after a traditional wash. It can be used for QD but it is a tad big for that.

I find it ideal to use as my Optimum No Rinse or QEW drying towel. Used slightly damp after washing a panel with No Rinse, it works great and leaves a perfect, streak free finish.

It's a pretty plush, very well made MF that just happens to be available OTC. The green QD towel is more plush and I find the 16x24 size great for QDing.

Thanks. I've got two of the green and they're pretty nice. I almost bought the drying towel, but it wasn't WW. It sounds like a winner too (if not for drying). What about the yellow polish towel?

i actually stop using my ww's and started using this large drying towel (6 sq feet!). it's much softer and i don't have to wring it out once... not to mention, for only $8.99 at your local k-mart... it's a steal considering some charge almost that much for a 16x16 mf!

they have an orangish towell for product removal which has a no nap weave pattern. I wonder if anyone here has tried it. definitely different design.

Do you mean the yellow edgeless polishing towel? That one is awesome for removing product residues.

I agree with what ENazda3S and imacarnut have said...the blue so-called Drying Towel, green QD Towel, and yellow polishing towel are amazing. As good as or better than what can be found online, but easy to get locally.

it's similiar to the discontinued megs edgeless ultimate wipes, and i like to use those kinds of mf's for windows as well...
