victoria Clay

So today I tried the Victoria Clay bar. I bought it at a local supplier for $20 CAN. It came in 2 4oz bars for a total of 8oz. Which I thought was a good price. For this job I just used Adams detail spray but plan on trying the VW QD.

Pack: The pack looked very simple, it was a plastic zip top bag with 2 smaller bags holding the clay.It also came with instructions (which were nice
I guess). There was a sticker on the front that said Victoria Wax. It was nothing exciting but served its purpose, and packaging won't affect my overall thoughts.

Look: the Clay came in 2 4oz bars. They were grey in colour. I did not mind the colour, again nothing special

Texture: It had a weird texture almost like sticky tack, it was very similar to Megs blue clay. I didn't mind it at all, it was a little soft for my liking but still wasn't uncomfortable.

Results: This clay works as well as any other. It left the paint feeling smooth as glass without harming the surface. It was nice to use and did a good job. I really liked the job it did.

Overall: I really liked this clay, it was nothing spectacular however it was like many other clays. It did a nice job of claying the paint which was nice. The colour and texture were like most others. However for the cost I really liked this clay. It was inexpensive and did a good job. I would definitely recommend it solely on the price. It was like every other clay on the market just a little cheaper. I would definitely say buy it, try it, and post your review

So there's my review, comments, questions welcomed.
Thanks

Source Chem Inc. is one of Japan's biggest clay manufacturers (alongside Joybond, aka Clay Magic, etc.), where VW outsources their clay from.

Good quality bars IMHO.

Sorry to revive this thead but has anyone ever had bad experiences with Victoria clay? I just want to buy some because it costs half of what the Megs blue clay costs

There are only a few clay manufacturers in the whole world. They are practically the same. Source supplies to numerous brands too.

I found it to be very similar to megs clay, same in texture. I have noticed they work the same and are really similar so i think you will enjoy it

Re: Victoria Clay

Not to bump this from the dead again, but Calgary did you get your clay from 2Clean?

I went there today and purchased the clay, I got (2) 3.5oz bars ( like listed on the web), but I was charged $34.00.

Ya i got it at 2 clean, i know the price has gone up. AS well as steve gave me a deal.. i was charge like 2 or something. I cant remember, it was a while back. I haven't bought clay in a long time

Calagary thanks for the review..I purchased some soft99 clay from ebay $7.99, but i have not had a chance to use it..I bought it thinking it might be related to Authenic wax which has had some good reveiews..

I have tried many clays and out of the few i have tried i like the yellow elastic clay i purchased from Steve :bigups

I tried out this clay, and I can honestly say it is the worst clay I have tried to date. Never have I had a clay bar crumble like this one. You can barely kneed the dang thing. When you first open it, it seems to have hard outer coating. here is how it goes for me

1. Yellow clay. Adams or Eshine yellow clays are good
2. Meguiar's Blue Clay
3. Meguiar's Quik Clay
4. Mothers "yellow" Clay
5. Random Carcaresmart clay

90. Victoria Clay.

Sneek, there is something wrong with the Claybar, possibly too old or wasn't sealed properly. Please return it for one that is good. David Wyllie Sr.

WOW now thats customer service. It's good to know that companies search the forums every so often!

WOW that was fast. I got it today. I haven't had a chance to try it out yet, but it definitly feels much softer than the other ones.

:):):D:D David actually sent my 4 bars, and I only had 2 bars that were acting funny.
