Very Large Image of a Paint Scratch

Two work ins of AIO went on so smooth. Carefully rinsing and wringing my mf applicator after each panel, I worked my way around the whole car twice. Then did the inside painted stuff, the trunk, and the lower valences (if you have a dub, I recommend using Klasse on any rough plastic valences you might have).

Going for the SG, I cut off the edges of my foam round yellow sponge, in 1 big round cut around the edge, it looks cool and feels so soft (I want to wash my face with it :) )

It looks like regular piece of sponge now, they should just sell this stuff to you by the sheet and you should cut the square amount that you need. Speaking of which, anyone think of using a cutting up one of those foam crate matress pads for wax (a new one). Who knows what the hardness of that stuff is though.

BTW, I also wanted to add that the chatroom has a new host!!! It's bigger, better, faster, and easier to load with newer features. It take two windows (an applet and the chat window) but it's cool. Check it out to see if it works and how fast it works (and see if someone is there now, update your bookmarks).

Let me tell you, the SG that I put on my car 24 hours apart looks significantly better then the 3 coats I put on my car in the spring. I'm definately recommending you put them on over time.

I'm keeping the passat in the car all week putting 1 or 2 coats each day.

I'm going to finish it all off with Pinnacle Souveran, can't wait.

well let's all learn from what I do :D

-don't run your radio if you're going to be detailing over a week (or even a few days) rooky mistake, car battery dead, haha :D

-my car smells like Klasse now! it's funny, after the 3rd coat I noticed the smell.

-my car feels different. It's so smooth, it's almost like buttery rubber, it feels like there's some give to the acrylic really strange.

Other than that, it's SG #4 tonight!

-lets also learn to spell "saga" correctly too ;) (thanks, justin!)

After using the Zaino stuff for a few months now I realize that I was happier with the Klasse twins on my truck. That smooth feeling almost like marble of the paint is incredible. I also don't think that Zaino beads nearly as well as several coats of SG and using Meguiars #34. The zaino does give a nice shine but seems to be more succeptible to swirls. I will use the zaino up and then switch back to Klasse. The zaino is a bit expensive too for the whole system. IMHO What QD are you using on your car YoSteve?

one grand show off !!!! all the way, so nice, so smooth, (can't use it if you're layering SG cause of the carnuba, for ones that don't know)

One Grand Show Off is a great carnauba containing QD. If you need a non-carnauba QD to use in between coats of SG, try Meguiars Final Inspection.

Koyaanisqatsi, I'm a little off this week. I guess you were asking what QD I used while putting on the mega coats this week.

Here's the deal, turns out breathing on the SG makes it come off like a charm. The only problem is the amount of surface area you can cover with you breath is limited (and it makes you dizzy if you do the whole car :D)

otherwise a use a spritz bottle of distilled water.

maybe I can get one of those fog mist-er cool you off in the summer thingies and use that.

but in all cases a miracle towel is essential
