Very Bad Experience W/********.net

I cannot begin to express how mad I am with my dealings w/********.net

I recently placed an order with them, and when it arrived I found that 2 of my products had actually been opened prior to shipping them to me. The foil seals had been pulled back and there was dried product encrusted within the threads of the caps. This is VERY wrong in my book.

Not pleased with this, I phoned their 800 line....what a mistake. First I was accused of making up my story, then I was accused of opening the bottles myself, then they tried to blame the manufacturer. ???? :angry

The "customer service" rep (Jason) was very rude and arrogant, avoiding any straight forward questions that I presented him with. Complete moron.

So, a "heads up" to any Autopians that would like to spare themselves extremely poor customer service and previously opened products.....AVOID ********.net. :grrr

HaHa - I guess I should not be surprised to see that "their" name is not permitted here. :xyxthumbs

that is just wrong.

Customer service is one of the biggest problems failing businesses have (I am not saying this one is). If you piss off the customer, before during or after the sale they will never come back.

Guess these people learned that.

Just curious as to why the name was blanked out?? I would like to know also so I dont have the same problems in the future..

Due to legal reasons Autopia has removed any mention of the website in question. We can't give anymore details at this time.

Hope you understand.

arcticwhite- Sorry to hear about your experience. If it's not too much trouble, I too would appreciate a PM with the vendor's name. It's only by refusing such people our business that we can get them to change.

That's a shame. I hate stuff like that. I ordered the Forum Fav from them (I'm quite sure I know which site it is) and the Souveran didn't have a box or a bag. I later emailed them about it, and they said they were out of bags at the time and that the box didn't fit. They said if I want them to let them know. So I did and they sent them out to me (not right out, but eventually). The box was for Paste Glaz, but close enough. Really I just wanted the soft silky bag for my Souv, and I got it. So I was a happy camper.

I've had a shipment from Meg's get ruined before when a bottle of EXTRA cracked. The product bottles were foil sealed, but the labels were ruined and I was generally unhappy. Plus, I had some foam apps and such. Anyway, they sent me a complete repeat of everything I had ordered for free. Needless to say I was quite happy, and that is the sort of service I now expect from vendors (at least car care ones). I'm sorry to hear that this wasn't the sort of service you got. That can be quite aggravating.

For all of those who are curious, it isn't too hard to figure out who it is - here's a hint...

The site name starts with an "a", ends with a "k" and has a name similar to mine, but reversed.

I first made an order with them about a month ago which I cancelled because they were shipping me only by UPS ($114USD for a $67USD order). I emailed them severall times but didn't succeded on getting another shippment quote.

Last week I received a discount coupon and emailed them, telling the story and giving them a list of products I'd be interested in. They quote me on a rate of $65USD, which I accepted and am waiting for delivery of.

Let's see what comes. An order I've received from the US, from another online supplier, had a broken jar of Connolly hide food, but as it's a paste nothing split of it, and the package was well done. Never complainted.

I had a bad time with them too. I got my P21s from them cos it is like 3 bucks cheaper. But it took 3 weeks for it to come ground.. The product was fine though. But still. 3 weeks? Come on now, they coulda used a horseman and gotten it to me faster

Sorry to hear about your terrible customer service and messed up order. All the experiences I've had with them have been great. I don't know what their problem is. Why has that group given this site enough grief that their name has been banned? :nixweiss Now we get a report from a site member of crappy service. Even though I've received my orders pronto, there's no excuse for rudeness from them. I think I'll suspend any more business from them for the time being. :nono

Sorry you had a bad experience. I've only ordered from them a couple of times and everything came promptly and intact. :nixweiss I have never talked with anyone there though.

I'm sorry you had such a bad experience with that company. Maybe it was just that one customer service rep? I would try calling again and try to get a different one. If nothing else works, ask to talk to a manager.

I bought a Souveran kit from them about 5 years ago and was very happy with the service. Until I discovered CMA. Now about 80% of my detailing dollars go to CMA and the other 20% to TOL and a couple other places.

I know CMA isn't perfect but I can't imagine any company doing it better. If you want great service use the well-known suppliers like CMA, Auto Detail, TACSCAR, and Yo Steve. These folks will really take care of you!

geekysteve,

Hmmmmmmm......... isn't that a .com?

Sorry - should have clarified...

The first 8 letters (the one's that are starred-out) are the one's that I was giving a hint to; and yes, it does end in .net... :)

There are 2 words in the company name. The first one is a word that is interchangeable with the word "car" (begins with "A"), and the second one rhymes with "freak".

To all those that have sent me a PM asking for the company name, the name is also deleted from the PMs so it does no good to try and pass it along that way.

Speaking to another individual at this particular company would have been a welcome relief, but I was denied that request when I made it. Jason simply laughed at me when I asked to speak to someone else.

I really don't feel that I was asking for a great deal from them as a company; the main reason for my calling them was to express my disatisfaction in regard to be sold already opened products. To be "greeted" as though I am a liar is far from acceptable to me.

To all members that have had a positive/neutral experience with them, I envy you. They will not receive any future orders from me, and hopefully I have shed some light on a lackluster company.

To me customer service is EVERYTHING.

You do a outstanding job at a fair price and bend over backwards to help the customer out, hes going to remember.

Hes going to come back again.

He's going to tell everyone he meets about what a fine service you give.

They'll call you and give you business, and tell everyone they meet what a fine chap you are.

Now.

If you do a crap job, be a pain in the *** and charge too much youll never see the customer again.

He'll tell everyone he meets what a **** you are and what a crap job you do.

Everyone he tells will never call you because you have a 'bad rep'.

So.

Which one is better for making a business expand ?

LOL.

Only the likes of M$ can get away with being dicks and STILL making money.

Till i reach those heights I'll stick to being Mr. Nice Guy.

I have used these guys in the past - zero issues. In fact, I just got my order yesterday with no troubles at all using a discount coupon they e-mailed me. I was able to use the discount on sale items which was great. In fact, I got a free sample of liquid souveran.

They have been very good to me and offer great products with reasonable prices. They are also aligned with the website which is the name of the brand of wax that souveran comes from - It begins with the letter "P" and is now offering free shipping. (Can I state it, or will my freedom of expression be gagged?!)

We try to provide consumer protection advice to one another and we're unable to?! We pay for the service to post our feelings on detail products and retailers and then we're censored? What about all the crappy reviews we give of products we don't like? I remember a post yesterday of someone who had an issue with Klasse Direct - nothing was blocked out.

What if I say that Meguiars blows a$$?! Does Meguiars get blocked out?

But we Autopians used our own legal wranglings to inform all of who it was by providing hints! hehehe
