I posted here:

that I had oil on my car and several responses suggested using the ABC system. As it occurred again, I did so today and not only did it not not remove the oil (my fault - no where in the description on their site does it say it will) but it also compromised the door handles and stop/turn signal lenses and third brake light on my 07 Mustang.

For those who find this doing a search, I used and suggest using the product in the above link as it removed the oil and other bonded contaminants in half the time without the worry of using heavy duty chemicals while using a chemist's coat and gloves or worrying where to dispose of the residue.

Over all I was under whelmed by the Valugard product.

Very interesting that it created some problems for you, since it is used regularly by several firms on large oil refinery emissions with good results.

It is also interesting that the product is produced for Ford (maker of your Mustang) under the Motorcraft label and the use of it is in each Ford model's Service Manual, with no reports in over 6 years of any damage such as you speak of.

Ford/Lincoln dealership use it everyday as needed and they have not reported such as you experienced.

Ford does testing of the system on each new model, every year, so something else is going on to cause such as you posted.]
