USPS - UK (delivery woe)

All the people who have orderd from Autopia and used the USPS delivery method, can you remember the company used in the UK to deliver to your door?

The PC was sent on the 2/2 and the 6-10 days option was used via USPC, but I think the UK side of the delivery has hit a problem, so Im trying to find the company so I can phone them up ( might be customs? im not sure how it all works ).

cheers guys!

I ordered 2 x NXT Generation Tech Wax on 30 Jan 2003 and am still waiting. It was dispatched on 2 Feb by USPS. I'm not worrying about it yet, but if there is a problem any information would be appreciated.

I've ordered quite a few bits and bobs from the US recently and all of the items have been shipped via USPS and all were delivered to my door by a "Royal Mail Worldwide ParcelForce" van - that includes my PC (which took 6 working days) from back in January.

I've had no problem with USPS. Earlier this month I purchased some pads from Nick @ Detailers Paradise and they arrived in 3 days. I'm currently waiting for a delivery of MF's from Ranney @ PakShak - I'm expecting them within the next couple of days... so I'll let you know if they haven't arrived by the end of the week.

Ditto the above. I'm usually out when my stuff comes and I get a "while you were out..." card from the postman. I just pick it up from the local depot no problemo.

Update: Had received my MF cloths from Ranney today when I got home from work. Delivered by Royal Mail as per usual. These were despatched on 18th Feb.

If you are unfortunate and it has gone via customs, it will take a bit longer. My guess though is that it will be there this week. I'd give it till Friday and then call at your local Royal Mail pick-up point and see if it's sat there waiting for you. I've had that happen before, and it had gone via customs too....grrrrrrrrrrrrr (useless ebay seller).

When i ordered a load of stuff from CMA i had to wait nearly 9 weeks so dont worry guys, it will turn up.

Cheers

Gerry

Do you have a tracking number for the shipment? If so you could ring customs or USPS and find out where it is.

I had a shedload of grief with UPS recently. All it came down to was customs didn't know where to charge taxes and VAT to. If you've got it addressed to yourself it may not be a prob but, If your asking for it to be delivered to a place of work they may think that you need to supply your VAT number as you are the company (which you obviously won't have), and thats when things start going round in circles..........

I could have this completely wrong in your case but it may be worth checking if it's got stuck in the pipeline somewhere.

Cheers.

The email from autopia didnt come with a tracking number, only the 6-10 day code. Ive emailed autopia and waiting there responce. Went down to post office and nothing, tried phoning everyone, and again a tracking number is needed or else they cant do owt :(

Typical on a week off were all I wanted to do was PC my car to get the cobwebs out :(

I looked on my box that got delivered yesterday and it had a round stamp on it saying "Royal Mail Mount Pleasant - Primary Customs Cleared" - so I presume that Mount Pleasant is the Customs/Royal Mail depot where the USPS post is first delivered to? Just a guess. Might be worth checking there to see if your parcel has got into the country.

EDIT: Think I'm correct on the above - Mount Pleasant is the Royal Mail international mail sorting plant in London.

Royal Mail

Mount Pleasant

Farringdon Road

LONDON EC1 1BB

Can't find the telephone number of the Mount Pleasant sorting office but I found another address and telephone number which might be of interest.

Royal Mail's International Services

49 Featherstone Street

London

EC1Y 8SY

Tel: 020 7320 4000

Mine arrived a week ago, customes never touched it, was a royal mail problem, and then on top of that the snow had caused a massive delay.

Thumbs up to Holly Teagle who was first class!

How do you guys do it? If my two day Priority takes three days I start to worry!! I will have to work on my instant gratification needs.

Live outside of the US ( like the UK or Australia ).

No point getting antsy about it, it'll get there when it gets there!

Hahaha. True that. My girlfriend attended Cheltenham College on a semester abroad and needed some shoes for touring. I found an awesome deal on some Montrail day hikers ($90->$45) but when I sent them to her, one week delivery was $50:shocked .

Most of my orders from the USA have arrived just as quick as if I'd ordered them from the UK (within a week) - when things do take a little longer, we're just used to it! Pizz poor service just goes hand-in-hand with living in the UK! :D LOL

It's happening to me now!

I ordered some 1ZMP, NXT and clay from the Autopia shop - that was three weeks ago! :(

I'm sure it's not Autopias fault, but three weeks? It was on a 'USPS 7-10 day Business Delivery' service. I'd probably point the finger at Royal Mail over here TBO.

Anyone else had any problems lately?
