Using Zaino for rinseless wash?

I remember reading a thread on here where someone was using Zaino car wash mixed with quick detail spray instead of QEW or ONR. He said he had been pretty successful with it...I can't find the thread now. Does anyone have it bookmarked?

I doubt that Zaino car wash can be used at a rinseless wash. I would imagine that conventional car shampoos will cause streaking if you try to use it like ONR.

Well it took me around 1.5 hours to wash my car but I am pretty impressed with the results! I might end up buying ONR just so I don't use up my Z6, but the combination seemed to work pretty well.

in place of QEW, I use 1 capful of Zaino Car Wash and 1 capful of Z6 Detail Spray in the wash water.

Works great for me.....

I remember writing that! It must have been 4 years ago. Yes, it does actually work if you don't use too much Z7. Actually, looking back on that method, a capful is way too much... more like a quarter capful... and then use 5 or 6 full sprays of Z6 in the water.

If you don't have any QEW or ONR, the method will work fine with little or no streaking. I always follow my car washes with a Z6 wipedown no matter what wash method I use.

Hey bill, thanks for chiming in! It worked pretty well even though I used a capful of each. The paint looked like it had been waxed afterwards, but you are right, I probably used too much. I didn't dry the glass throughly so there was some streaking there and there was also some streaking on a couple horizontal surfaces. I'm pretty impressed overall. I have ordered some ONR to compare.

I posted a thread using water mixed with Z-7 and use it as a QD few months back, but after using it.. I get some streaking, especially the windows. I tred to mix it with a few spritz of Z-6 to make it slicker.

I reallize that the Z7-Z6-Rinseless Wash method is not the intended purpose for these products. But if you don't have any QEW or ONR, it will work pretty well when you can't do a conventional wash.

I haven't used ONR, but I use QEW all the time... especially this winter when it seems to snow, sleet, rain about every 3-4 days!!!

I ordered from Danase, but I have just realized I spend $12 on regular Optimum Wash and not ONR. I am pretty ticked off. :P I'll probably just order QEW directly from protect-all's site.
