Using WAUD to maintain sealant layer indefinitely?

I'd say Eagle One Wax-As-U-Dry actually makes drying the car easier. So if you were to use it at every wash, couldn't you maintain an underlying sealant layer forever with no extra effort?

Just curious if anyone is doing this...

I dont do that but for an easy way to maintain a sealant try optimum car wax. It is spray on and wipe/remove wax that lasts just as long as carnauba pastes.

I use E1 WAUD as my quick detailer. I use it on a dry surface and it works magic for me. However, i just need a damp towel to wipe it clean. That's all..It really enhances gloss to the paint finish.

I'm with Greg on using the OCW. The WAUD product is OK as a carnauba enhancer, but it's not going to keep a sealant going forever.

In fact, nothing will keep your sealant intact forever as you will pick up paint contamination over time. Contamination/fallout will eventually develop that will eat thru or stick to the top sealant layer and if you keep layering you will just trap more junk inbetween the layers. I know, however, that some do like to spot clay between layers and this does some to work for them as a way of extending the sealant's life.

If you want a sealant to bond well to the paint, you need to start with a clean surface eventually. Strip everything off at least every 6 months and probably do a clay/polish before you start sealing again.

QEW wash or QD spritz of QEW (1-2 capfuls in 16 oz H2O) prior to drying will also prolong the protectants lifespan or appear to do so similar to WAUD. :idea
