Using GG Spray-On Wax for the first time...

In response to the thread on Wax As U Dry, I just did a wash on the new C350. The car is new, so it has no sealants or wax on it. I only had time to use the GG Spray-On Wax to get some protection on it for the week. I snapped some pics of how it came out...

Initial impressions:

I did a final rinse with the no-nozzle approach, and left what I thought was a little bit of water. It was too much. I needed to get rid of more water. I sprayed it on one panel at a time and buffed till almost dry with one MF, and follwed up with another. It looks shiny, but does not have a ton of depth. You can actually feel a carnuba-like feel on the paint, so I think it left something.

I would definitely use this product again, since it did what it is supposed to do. It's supposed to leave a thin coat of protection on your car between wax applications. It definitely gives your wax a boost to take care of it when you have little time...

Here is a shot of beading on 10/4/08 - Still looks good.

I gave it another shot of GG Spray-On after a wash/Dry. It's been 2 weeks, a tunnel wash, and a couple rainstorms along with a 500 mile highway trip since this picture, so I will take another picuture when I wash this week.

It looks like the beading is gone, and we have no protection on the car. I guess this summarizes what people have been saying about spray-on waxes. They are great for boosting your wax protection, but do not offer long-lasting, high-durability protection.

Well, I guess it's time to get some Z on the ride...

You can get a month out of AW, easy...
