Using AIO for the first time...

Currently I have S100 on top of several layers of Z2. I just ordered a bottle of AIO to try it out. Can I apply AIO with a PC without having to strip the S100 and Z2? I just recently clayed, so I dont need to do that again.

So, just wondering if I can get good results going this route without the extra work. I understand AIO has cleaners in it, so it kinda makes sense to me.

Also, is S100 on top of AIO a good choice? Thanks...

AIO works great for stripping surface of previously applied protectants. At the same time AIO is suppose to be adding some sealant protection.

"Also, is S100 on top of AIO a good choice?"

Yes, but too broad a question.

Are you asking about:

Protection?

Appearance, longevity of such or type of appearance?

Durability?

Yeah, the AIO will remove a lot (if not all) of your S100/Z2, so you'd have to reapply those after. I would do a Klasse SG/UPP after AIO, then S100. The SG has very good longevity imo.

Oh, yea regarding the S100, I meant as far as appearance. Seems to add depth to Z2, what does it do for AIO?

I was hesitant to order the SG because it tended to be "stubborn" from what I've been reading.

How's AIO's durability compaired to Z2?

I have never topped SG (cousin of AIO) but from reading here that a carnuaba will add depth to a Klasse finish.

From past experience (years ago) from topping Zaino with P21S (S100) that this product added very little depth but did tune down the clarity (sharpness of reflections) which may be viewed as depth.

I would assume the AIO and S100 would look quite similiar to Z2 and S100 but slightly less "POP" without topping the AIO with several coats of SG. The short coming with this combo verses your prior regimen will be in durability. If you add SG this will bring back the durability and deeper appearance you are familiar with.

You can also top the AIO with Z and than top with S100.

If you are looking for a different look you might try some AIO topped with Meg #26 or NXT. Not great on protection but no one can say these products do not look good.

Damn, guess I should have asked first before I bought. Looks like I'll pick up a bottle of SG as well.

I think my goal here was to decrease the time it takes for detailing. Z2 is great, but putting on several layers is time consuming. Then again, I only use Z2 twice a year because of its durability. If the AIO/SG/S100 combo can give just as good results, with the same durability, that might save me some time then. I could just wash and apply and maybe only clay once a year insead of twice like I do before applying Z.

Have you tried the new Z2-PRO?

2-3 layers will give you the depth of your present regimen and even better durability than the old Z2. You will probably find no benefit by topping with a canauba. Time saved!

Another time saver is the usage of Z8 (do a search *Z8*). :dance

SG's a snap to put on and take off. Just apply it to a panel and wipe it off. Let it cure for 12 hours. Do it again. You do not need to let it sit before wiping it off.
