Using a PC on a car with stripes?

I have just purchased a 1970 Ford Boss 302 in deep Grabber Blue paint that originally had a lot of stripes that have been applied to the paint as well as the lettering "Boss 302" The fairly new paint job is very good. I am going to use #9 then SEPC then S100. I have used this combination on my prowler and it gives me excellent results. My question is regarding the stripes. Will the PC damage them? Will any of these products "stick" to the edge of the stripes therefore leaving a fine white line next to the stripe?

Thanks for the assistance.

Have you tried searching for words like "pinstriping" or something? I read some stuff on this a while ago, wondering the same thing, and some people just PC over it without damage, while some people mask it off with painter's tape. You can even get it in thin 1/4" sized for pinstripes. Personally I decided to mask it off just in case, and if I had a '70 Boss (:bow :bow ) I would too.

I tried searching under a few different names but could not find anything to address my question. I will try again with some different spelling combinations.

Thanks
