Used White Diamond today

The Whaler Loves Detail City
along with Natty's Red on gold with silver flake.I was going to use a pc but my head was hurting all weekend so I didn't want to deal with a machine so I did it by hand.First I used SuperSuds in a foam gun as a prewash. Then I used an ounce of SuperSuds in a 5 gallon bucket. After washing and drying the car I broke out the White Diamond.I put down the WD with a foam applicator and removed with terry towels. At first I think I was using too much as I really had to wipe with more pressure and more vigorously than I am accustomed to.After a few trials and errors I was putting down a coat that was much thinner than the previous ones. After the product hazed I buffed until the flake was popping like microwave popcorn after 2 minutes on high. Not only did the flake pop but some small scratches disappeared. It impressed me as a popper and a filler. The gold was shimmering in the direct sunlight. Next I put on a coat of Natty's Red. Again using a foam applicator. I did the entire car using a circular motion.Once the car was completely covered in Red I wiped it off using a dark blue micro from PB.Since I've used Red before I had no trouble laying down a thin coat or removing it.Once that task was finished the car looked so wet and the shine was/is brilliant.I intentionally left it in the sun to admire it.My daughter gave it/me a :yay:bigups:rockon.
Next I'll try WD with Natty's White on a silver with flake.
Right now I'm :passout:.:passout:

I used White Diamond topped with Natty's White 2 months ago on my '05 Tacoma. It really gave that silver the extra 'pop' it needed. I also topped my '01 Prelude (Premium White Pearl) with the same combo the next day. The micro scratches in the clear disappeared, as well as any scratches on the carbon fiber hood. It works well on a gel coat as well! Needless to say, you'll be very satisfied with the results on silver.

Thanks for the thorough write-up, rabbi!! Guess I may have to break down & buy some WDG to treat the V.

Sorry the headache kept you from doing the pc dance :(

Hope you're feeling much better!!

I am a huge fan of both WD and BH. They are great at filling light swirl marks and really give the paint that extra pop.

I couldn't agree more. At Detailfest III, Pockets put both White Diamond and Black Hole on my silver Mazda 6, and we both actually preferred the depth that the Black Hole gave (despite WD being specific to lighter vehicles).
