use polish before Zaino-AIO

I am new to the Zaino system and need some advice.

I bought a new car in December and clayed it a few weeks later. I applied some Meg GC to it and now I want more protection (suprise, suprise...)

I was going to clay the car again, then apply some Z-AIO followed by some Z5-pro and Z-CS.

My question is if the paint is in pretty good condition, is there a need to polish a car with no marring or visible problems? I understand prep work can be the key to a nice shine.

What type of polish do most use with this Zaino combination?? Z-PC?

Thanks!!!!!!!

Im a big fan of FPII by Menzerna. Have used it with the Zaino combo with no issues if that is the combo you are looking at.

Yes, if you need to polish Z-PC would be a logical choice if you want to stay within the Zaino line of products. If your finish looks good with no marring or visible problems then the Z-AIO might be all that you need to get it prepped for Z-5.

If you already have a fine polish like FPII that would work well also, there are lot's of options and products out there.

Thanks, I have been searching for a while and I understand 1Z by Einszett is a good polish to use before Z-AIO.

I am doing everything by hand and 1Z is supposed to be good in this regard.

I am leaning towards just washing and going straight to the Z-AIO

IF you have defects, knock those out first. If the car is defect free, use the ZAIO, Z5pro, then CS. Btw, that combo is my absolute favorite as of late. The flake pop is outstanding.

Thanks Greg, that is what I hope. Besides applying this stuff thinly, do you have any other advice?

Anyone else suggest polish or no polish?

I agree with Greg. Since your car is fairly new just use some Z-PC to get rid of light marring and then follow up with Z-AIO.
