I have half a day before I need to get my cousins truck ready for the car show in Sparta, NJ. My car is easy as I only need some Z6. His is a black truck and is swirl free for teh most part.

Here are the list of products I ave in mind. It is your replies that will put the products into use. The products are:

Meguiars #7 car glaze, #? professional cleaner wax, 3M SMR, 3M IHG, and Blitz Wax.

You tell me which products are a go and what order to use them in order to achieve the best show car dazzle around. I am open to product suggestions. Its just these products I have on hand.

This is Urgent and Time sensitive....

Well, based on what products you have, I'd do the following:

1 Coat of the cleaner/wax (2 coats if it really needs cleaning and polishing)

Two coats of the Meguiar's #7

1 to 3 coats of Blitz

If the truck has never been clayed, I'd highly suggest claying before applying any wax or polish.

Should turn out nice...but it won't last too long...especially on black. You could clay and apply a few coats of Zaino, personally that's what I'd do.....

Sounds like a plan to me. I'd be careful with the cleaner wax (sometimes they are abrasive- I still don't know wheter Meguiar's is or not), unless the paint needs cleaning, in which case you might as well use it. Second the claying idea. It will help with the gloss. Also, with the Blitz, use the Concours method- wax whole car, let haze, buff off, then wax half a panel at a time and immdiately buff off without allowing the wax to haze. This will make a big difference with Blitz.
