UPPS Report - Next Day - Super Slick ...

Luster

COMPULSIVELY ANAL
I tried UPPS for the first time 2 days ago. I was very impressed with it's shine, slickness, ease of application and removal, and the overall general look.

I had read on the PAC website, that UPPS actually gets SLICKER when it cures via heat. The product label says to put the car in the sun for a while and the finish will get smoother and slicker...

Well, being slightly skeptical, but curious, I left the garage heater on all night. The heat was actually aimed directly onto the hood....

4Star was right! I dusted and felt the finish. Definitely slicker.

Another star for 4Star!

You can order gallons now from Premium Auto Care

I ordered one yesterday... and don't forget to use your DISCOUNT CODES!

Bill thanks for the update, were you using this on a clean car (no other products) or was this used as a topper to something else?

i didnt go over the finsh afterwards to check, but the surface definately felt slick right after application. i can only imagine how much more it got afterwards. cool product. a definate keep in my book.

Bill, please refresh my memory as to what your steps were prior to the UPPS application. Specifically products used. Curious to know if UPPS was working over UPP or some other sealant or caranauba. Also interested in reading how, if at all, UPPS altered the appearance of the base product.

As for the percieved extra slickness the following day, do you not feel this is common among sealants in general? That is a slicker surface and even a "improved" appearance?

I seem to remember from a previous post that you are/were a Zaino user. Have you used Z8 and if so, how would you compare/contrast that with UPPS ie. application, appearance - I know it's too early to disucss durability?

I know, lots of questions...but I like UPP and this UPPS product sounds promising. I'm currently using OCW on occasion and the performance vs. effort equation is quite nice. I've heard similar praises form Z8 users.

ive had it as a standalone product on a red hyundai elantra and with all the rain we got between yesterday and last ngiht, its still beading very well. been about 3 weeks. not very long time but if it fails as a lasting standalone, atleast u'll know 3 weeks is expected and and it will definately boost u're current upp.

joy

I was using UPPS over Zaino Z2 Pro, which was applied about 1 month ago.

I'm planning to contact Sal Zaino and ask him what the proper steps would be to re-apply Zaino, when the time comes. I usually apply Zaino 3-4 times a year.

The prep is going to be the same as always. Why would you call Sal about something like this?

Polish with ZPC, or any other polish, but wash with Dawn/Z7 after those.

My guess is he is going to tell you to use Z8 instead and not worry about how to prep. Z8 works so well, why would you want to mix and match?
