UPP in the UK?

Anyone know of any stockists of UPP, I'd like to try some, but as per usual I can't find it in the UK! Where's the best place to buy some from, even in the USA?

Thanks for that. The only downside to ordering from the USA is sometimes you get hit with a hefty import duty and tax bill on your doorstep before they let you have the package, quite often this can be as high as an additional £50 ($100) on top of the items cost and shipping.

One possibility might be if you were to contact one of the vendors that sells US stuff (PB, Clearkote, etc.) they MIGHT be willing to get a bottle of UPP sent to them with their other stuff to sell to you. Just a thought.

If you really want it - I think you will have to import it yourself. Try not to worry about the risk of duty. If it is a small order it will be marked with a value, generally small orders (like <$100) won't get noticed at UK customs - differentif you were shipping a crate of it to sell, but a single bottle - not worth the paper work I wouldn't have thought.

That said, if you are going to order from Autopia, might as well make it a decentsized order anyway - the postage on a single item will make you cry, but will be the same(ish) for a few products.

Try not to worry about duty - I bought a PC from Autopia and I know a lot of others have too - I don't know of a single one that got a duty applied to it!

I was going to order something like 4 bottles to make it worthwhile, that would be like $80 plus shipping. I already have plenty of Clearkote, Poorboy's, P21S, etc. so is UPP really that good and worth having?

Personally - I would doubt it.

I have a few products now too - I have some clearkote, wolfgang, P21s, poorboys etc - and short of some minor differenced in looks, that (to be honest) only us autopians can actually see) this standard of product are all pretty good.

That said, I believe UPP is very good on light coloured cars and silver in particular - so I guess I should try it but I would probably still think "Hmm not bad, a bit like xxxx (insert product here)"

You coud try to organise a group buy if you want - share the shipping around?

That's cool then, if I ever get the chance to try some out I will.

I've read that Clearkote stuff is really good on darker blue metallics - so I'm going to try RMG, yellow cream moose then carnuba moose wax as a final topper - quik shine as a QD which really seems to make the flakes pop!

If I needed UPP I would be tempted to grab some from pakshak with a load off towels to make it worth while.

Dark blue metallic - the above will look good. You could always throw in some EX with Carnuba in too if you want some sealant.
