UPGP shelp life

I picked up my bottle today after not using it in 5 months and there was dried product in the bottom. At first I thought the white look might actually be the plastic, discoloration from being bumped against a hard edge maybe. But after twisting the nozzle to scrape the 'straw' along the bottom, the dried product breaks apart.

What is going on, any idea? Might this have been caused by freezing? Or is the product just past its life expectancy?

Did it freeze? As far as a shelf life, our test show that the product is still fine well over a year. There is at times some settling that shaking up will resolve.

I had the same thing happen to my UPGP and UTTGP and UIGP. The bottles have been stored in in a central closet in a cooler with a digital thermometer showing the temps have stayed between 62-84 degrees since I bought the bottles. The only other variable could be humidity or bottle position. Since the bottles are sealed, I don't know how it could be humidity. In the cooler I lay the bottles flat, don't know if that has anything to do with it. But nothing leaks so I assume they are sealed so it shouldn't matter.

Shaking does nothing for this situation.

Edit: last time I checked (a few months ago) this didn't affect UIGP, but I just did a quick check after writing my original post and now I see the same thing happened to the UIGP as well. =(

Strange, that is one I have not heard of. Please send me your information via email and I will get this taken care of.

If it helps, the UPGP was in the 4 oz size. Shaking mine doesn't help, either.

I haven't tried it yet, to see how this affects its performance.

I actually was just going through my stash of car care stuff and found my first bottle of UPGP that had developed this issue and Lynn had given me a replacement for a long time back. I've been using the replacement so forgot about this bottle. Well now that I found it I noticed this bottle has basically turned yellow! There are white deposits all over the bottle, but there is also at the bottom on one side a concentration of yellow deposit. And the whole bottle has taken on a yellow tint. I squirted some out and on the second squirt the white insert of the nozzle just flew out. Wow!

It definitely seems like there is a shelf life to this product. Those who have had it long with no ill effects, maybe you use it often and the agitation keeps the product from doing this. Otherwise I don't know why mine would go bad, it's kept in very good temperature control, the only bad factor being it is rarely touched so sits for months with no movement.

You know, you guys just need to use this stuff more often, put on more coats, do more cars, apply to your cell phone, refrigerator, kitchen counters...if you would just use it up faster you wouldn't have this problem! :p :dance

Funny you say this, because last night I decided to put this on my stove/oven and dishwasher since it wasn't going on my car in this yellowed state. I hope it makes for easier cleanup.

Damn--I see Im not the only one! Mine has the white crap in the bottom to of my 4oz bottle. Shaking it does not go anything for it--so Im guessing there is some typ of product that is stuck in the bottom??? Help Lynn

Just send me a direct email with your order information if you have had issues with the shelf life. A few of the earlier products had a shelf life issue due to the fragrance in the product mixing with the polymers.
