Uno and Proxy?

Ok I really do not need more polishes and def do not need more LSP lol. After reading on here both products are making my wallet burn. I have an up comming detail on a metallic blue 08 Nissan Altima, swirls, rids and holograms. I was planning on my go to M105/205 via PC and KBM. Well now been really thinking of trying UNO for this detail.

My question is I have an assorntment of 5.5" LC Flat pads, orange, white and black do I really need the HD pads?

Does UNO work well with a PC 7424? Or will I have better luck with my rotary?

How long does Proxy take to cure before I can top it with a Nuba?

Does Proxy stain trim? How bout textured black trim?

Thanks :buffing: :2thumbs:

Interested to see what people say, I have an 08 Metallic Blue Maxima. Difficult paint to keep pristine. Starting to wonder if it is the Nissan's paintand clear coat they use.

HD Pads are constant pressure pads, not necessary, but on an RO/DA, it's what HD recommends. I have never tried the HD constant pressure pads, but if they work anything like a typical constant pressure pad, you could just stick with a classic flat. The premise here being that HD UNO is pad dependent and with uniform pressure comes uniform cut.

UNO works very well with an RO/DA. I don't see why it wouldn't with a rotary.

After Poxy hazes it's done, usually about 15mins - 30mins. You wont need to top it with a Nuba, at least in the looks department, trust me :bigups

No Poxy does not stain. Use it on anything from glass to paint to textured vinyl.

Proxy does look great on its own from pics I have seen. But there was a detail from tdekany that was topped with SSII and it made a nice difference. I do like that I can use Proxy on trim.

Man I am still on the fence with UNO do to the great results I get from M105/ 205

105/205 is just fine, but if you want to try UNO/POXY, I'd say that the look will surprise you. Also, I'd suggest not to top POXY, unless you want a look that isn't as beautiful as Poxy's.

POXY doesn't stain.

It will work well with either machine.

Don't know whats going on but im getting at most 3-4weeks on the side panels of the CRV. Washed 1 time per 2 weeks, and every shampoo I try doesnt extend its life!

Can anyone at HD help me out?
