United Way of Atlanta 10/2 Car Show

1 Clean WS6

Detailing Rottweiler
Hey all!!

It was a beautiful fall Georgia day and a great show! About 150-175 cars of every make and model were in attendance. 1 Clean WS6 took home a trophy so I was pleased!! :D

Below are some pics of a few of my favorite rides at the show.

Enjoy,

Mike

Darn...I'm sorry I missed this one. Mike, was this show advertised?

Is there an Atlanta site which shows events?

I think a Lexus show is coming soon...

SilverLexus I found out about the show while at a Year One show in Braselton. Apparently this is an annual show that the United Way puts on at the UPS center in Roswell. I believe this was the third one (my first).

My friend told me that there is a section in the Friday edition of the AJC called "rides" or something that lists a lot of the shows in the Metro ATL area.

I've seen the listing in the AJC, but haven't looked lately. Maybe we could get all the Atlanta Autopians together for one of these shows. Roswell is the halfway point for Lee & myself. Of course this Saturday I was watching a little football (How 'bout them Dawgs!).

I love the AMG & Maybach...and there was a pic of a pretty sweet WS6!

Yeah, those are some pretty ghetto-fabulous rims on that SL. I'm sure Brabus or AMG makes something that would look much better.

How did the non-Autopian cars look upon close inspection?

I believe those are some AMG rims...if you look closely you'll see the Mercedes logo on them. They are a bit much for me...still they can't detract from the rest of the car.

There is definitely a Mercedes-Benz logo on those rims. Detracts from the car, IMO.

The Maybach is ridiculously large, LOL.

mtodde...thanks for the compliment on my ride!! I think getting the ATL area Autopians together would be a GREAT idea. After seeing some of the meets other groups have been having I've been jealous!! I would even lend up my house for the meet. We could fit about six cars in my driveway...it would be a very tight fit...but it could be done.

Terry...those rims were probably not the best choice for that car but a supercharged V8 (especially a German V8) will make me forgive a lot of faults!! :D

beau it was SWIRL CITY!!! It was funny...I took my wife along with me to walk the lot and even she would say something to the effect of "It is such a pretty car but it has so many swirls". I'm so proud of her!!

Mike

It was a great show. Well run and everyone made you feel welcome.

Thanks for the pictures and tips.

Taking a trophy (thanks to George) made it that much nicer!

:xyxthumbs

Al your car is IMMACULATE!!! If it didn't win a trophy I think I would have shouted "shannanigans"!!! :D

SilverLexus I think this is something we should seriously persue. As I said before I will offer up my house as the meeting spot. I live in Marietta (East Cobb) right on the Roswell/Woodstock border. We can fit about 6 cars in my driveway but it will be tight...they'd have to be nose to stern to fit. We could possiblely rotate cars as we worked on them which would make it a bit more comfortable. Regardless, I have no problems hosting a meeting like this.

Wow..great pics. It looks like there was some real classics and beauties at that show. I am really liking that GTO...
