I received a call from a woman wanting a full service detail. I proceed to ask how she learned of my service she said her niece reffered her. I asked who her niece was she gave me the name and I thanked her. So I check my customer data base and this womens name is not in my file. So the other day I was doing a maintenance wash for my weekly customer and drop the vehicle off at her nail salon I walk inside to return her keys and the women having her nails done thanks me for doing a great job on her aunts car said that her aunt was very happy so I thanked her for the compliment now I have never washed that womens car but she reffered me to her aunt what do you make of that?

Sounds to me like she was at the salon during one of your previous jobs and seen your work. Your other customer probably advised her about the good job you do.

Could be that You're the talk of the nail salon! As Glen mentioned-Word of mouth, especially in a "gossippy" setting is often the best!

Outstanding. Think of the amount of money you would've had to spend in advertising to pickup that new client. You got that for free due to your hard work. Very soon you'll find you're as busy as you want to be.

I had my best luck gaining new clients through networking with local businesses, especially a day spa.

Keep up the good work.

I agree with the gossip of the salon part. My mom used to manicure for
salon and they would talk for hours .

So it just goes to show you , you never know who's looking at your wowhen dropping off a car its just like a rooling billboard.
