Tried this combo out today with a wool pad. UC cuts pretty well but you do need to increase the speed. I found that speed 4 of 6 worked the best. I didn't have sling issues or dusting issues. I was using an older thin version with a sprayer.

One thing I did learn today is that UC on an orange pad and PC won't completely take out wetsanding marks-at least not on my GM Clear over navy blue metallic.

Speed 4-6, what rotary are you using? Quote: "I was using an older thin version with a sprayer." End quote. You were using UC with a sprayer?

Yep, I have the thin runny version so I popped a sprayer on it and use it. Not sure if a sprayer would work with the newer thicker version. I have a Buffalo rotary-similar to the higher end Harbor Freight version. I used a Makita white wool pad. This combo took out about 98% of the sanding marks. There's just some very shallow marks near the edges.
