ultimate car wash nozzle

Not my term, but Costco is selling "The Ultimate Car Wash Nozzle" for $19.99. It is "made" by Bonaire Industries, is "engineered from stainless steel, fiberglass, brass, and hard rubber." Seems quite heavy and solid. It appears to be similar to the Griot's "Finest water Hose Nozzle" but Griot item is $76 and made in USA whereas this one is made in China and sells for a bit over 25% of the Griot model.

this one from griot's seems more like the untimate nozzle to me. the ultimate rinsing nozzle, anyway.

you can use any old nozzle to wash the car off.

I've got one of the Costco Ultimate nozzles and like it. It is pretty solid and, if it clogs with mineral deposits, you can disassemble it with an allen wrench to clean it out. Eastwood sells the same nozzle for $35 plus shipping.

The only thing I don't like about it is that it seems backwards.... you twist the nozzle to the left to turn it on and it starts with the full force jet stream then changes to a spray as you continue to twist it to the left. If you're the kind of person who rinses each panel separately as you wash the car, it'd be more convenient to have a regular pistol grip nozzle.

<strong class='bbc'>Who in their right mind would pay $76 for a hose nozzle? Griot's must be crazy. [/b]</blockquote>As you'll shortly learn here, dbackfan, this the the place ...

I'm sure these each have wonderful qualities but for me, I'm looking for a nozzle I can handle quickly and surely with one hand. Still pleased with that $6 multi-station pistol job I purchased from Walmart last year

I have the Costco nozzle and love it!! Worth every penny. I agree, the spray pattern is backwards (maybe that's why Costco got them so cheap?) but for 20 bucks, I 'll live with it.

I can't imagine spending $35 for this nozzle, let alone $76 when anyone can have this for a 20.

I'll put it this way: Just before I bought that nozzle, I bought a Karcher pressure washer at Lowe's. Cost me $170. I used it to wash a couple cars. Then I used the nozzle and it did all the same things as the pressure washer, especially cleaning wheels and wheel wells. I took back the pressure washer for a refund. Someday I'll get one of those big, gas powered $400 pressure washers, but for now my $20 nozzle does most everything I need it to do.

<strong class='bbc'>You're talking about the one that looks like a miniature fire hose nozzle, right? Red anodized aluminum? Like this:

I have seen that nozzle and wasn't mistaken. ;) to *me* the ultimate (rinsing) nozzle would be the one I posted. first of all, I wouldn't pay more than $15-$20 for any nozzle. secondly, almost anything will work for hosing off the first layer of dirt from the car or shooting a high pressure streem at your wheels covered in wheel cleaner. it's the rinse where a nifty nozzle would be helpful (so you don't have to run back and forth shutting off the spigot after you rinse each panel). the nozzle I posted above looks like the ideal solution for rinsing if you like to sheet water off of the car (and I think most people around here do).

Thanks for the link.
