Ultima PGP NEW Formula

I purchased this this spring.

Both are drastically changed. From an oil base to a water base.

My experience thus far is very disappointing.

Note. Prep was wash, clay, full three level polish, wash, full wipe down.

Issues
Layering - does not seem to layer at all
Sheeting - spotty at best
Durability - almost zero - days
Look - like you weren't using anything at all
Texture - water

I am absolutely devastated by this new formula. This is NOT a simple tweak on an existing product. This is an entirely new and seemingly untested product line.

I hate to say this but buyer beware.

Anyone else have any input here?

Both are drastically changed. From an oil base to a water base.

I would describe the WOWA paint products as having a solvent base, while (and this may be splitting hairs) the trim products have an "oil" base (more like mineral spirits, so really a less volatile solvent).

I can see how the change to water based for the paint product might make it more difficult to use. AFAIK all the other WOWA sealants are still using a solvent, from Opti-Seal to the various Wolfgang, Blackfire, and Zaino variants (I haven't used the Wolfgang or Blackfire, and my bottles of Opti-Seal and Z-CS are from a long time ago). You might also want to try the Duragloss coating, since it's one of the cheapest spray coatings and similar in application to a WOWA sealant, if a bit more unforgiving.

I have a bottle and a half of the old formula. I have been waiting for the day this stuff turns to gold. Open for trades

I loved this stuff and used it after my Blackfire Wet Diamonds faze and before I got in to coatings.

Just kidding, if you would like it PM me and we can work out a trade. I'm easy, just anything I need in kind trade.

I'd like to get some Optimum APC?

I have the new (never used the old) and I really like it. It doesn't last as long as some of the other LSP's I have (Colli/Sonax PNS), but it performs well for roughly 3 months on a 24/7 outside vehicle. I'm really liking it on glass; in fact, it will be my go-to as far as glass protection now

I'm sorry to hear that the formula changed.
I was a huge fan of this and used it all the time.
I think I still have several old bottles. I wonder if they are still good....
