Ok, so this weekend I washed my car with the sample of Ultima Paint Guard Plus. I washed the car while it was cool and in the shade. I must say I was disappointed. This stuff did not rinse off very easily and it left some water spots. Previously I had washed my car using Sonus Gloss Shampoo, and this stuff was great, here are some pics from that previous wash using Sonus http://autopia.org/forum/car-detailing/97582-what-do-you-think.html Has anyone else had a similar experience with this Ultima product?

I have a sample of it too but have yet to try it. I absolutely hate the sonus car wash. I have 2 new bottles i will never use. I won't even use it for the wheels. Duragloss ftw.

I used my sample a couple of weeks ago and didn't have any issues with it.

From all the compliments the product recieves, I would figure it would be more an isolated issue then the norm. I'm sure DavidB would take care of you if the product was defective, it could also be a problem with prep.
I try to never jump to an early concolusion, find the spot of error (if there was one) and eliminate it, then try to give the product an honest review. Are you sure your prep was right before applying the product?

i have only been using ultima shampoo and i dont notice any type of water spots on my vehicles even on my black rsx

Since you say that you had trouble rinsing it clean, how much soap and how much water were you using?

Great soap with awesome lubricity. The suds lasted forever for me even after doing wheels with brake dust.

If so, I used it last weekend and really liked it. Great lubricity! Such lubricity worried me at first because I thought it would be a pain in the butt to rinse off but, no problems. Such lubricity also was great for claying and it did not crumble up the claybar.
When I am not using ONR (which I will use 95% of the time), I will probably reach for UPGW.

I used the correct product, Ultima Paint Guard Wash. The weekend before I detailed my car, polished with Sonus FX2 and Paint Cleanser and waxed with Meguiars NTXT Generation Tech Wax (liquid). I wonder if this wax was not compatible with the Ultima Wash. However, I did not have any of the problems when using the Sonus Gloss Shampoo.
