UDM vs PC7424 + pad combo - 99 Galant

Hi all

Been busy with work mostly lately and haven't had a chance to come on. I'm finally thinking about buying a machine polisher and just recently came over the UDM (yes I'm a year behind lol) so I'm not sure if I should get the UDM or grab the PC7424.

I was originally planning on getting the PC7424 and going the Pinnacle twins route to polish a moderately to heavily swirled teal 99 Galant.

But now with the UDM thrown in the mix and through some research it doesn't look like many people go with the Pinnacle twins, I'm stuck and unsure which route to go.

In terms of the wash I was going going to use the foam gun with DP Xtreme and I was unsure on the wax. I've been using NXT Tech Wax but I was thinking of something else to get that ultra shine.

So any and all feedback would be appreciated.

Bump, anyone? I have the weekend off next week so I'm hoping to grab this stuff before weather permitting.

Well, the UDM is probably a definite choice, considering the prices are fairly attractive, and because it is more powerful than the PC.

With regards to polishing, you will have to search around because there are just too many choices out there for you. I'm afraid it's the same case with wax. It'll depend on whether you're going for looks/durability, etc.

I'm new at machine polishing as well and just ordered the udm a couple of days ago thru autogeek. One reason I went with udm is because when I called autogeek they still honored the price of $99.99 to me (for the package that they showed online at $129.99) because they had a sale a couple of weeks ago. I can't find any pc or udm at that price so I went with that. I went with SIP and 106ff polishes because people on here have good comments about them. Hope this helps.
