I was helping my friend a little bit with these cars. I did only the boot on both cars, right and left back fender on the A4. The rest did my friend as I had to leave, but came back for some pictures just in time when he finished :p

Process

Wash: Soaked with heavy alkalie. Tar remover was used under the waist. Single bucket and cherry foam from Allbrite.

Polishing/finishing: Menzerna PO85RD3.02 with polishing pads, Menzerna PO85RE5 with polishing pads. All steps with Toptool. Followed by a IPA wipedown.

Protection: Audi 100: cant remember since it was my friend who sealed this car.

Porta- Nice to see some older Audis getting all taken care of :xyxthumbs

Of course, I REALLY like that '88 100! Can't beat high-quality single stage :D I bet it was a lot easier to work than the b/c on the A4.

Heh heh, I'm still a bit envious of your TopTool ;)

Love that kind of change. Some wheel well cleaning and tire dressing would have made it even more perfect. I had a 00 A4 in silver metallic just like that a few years ago and it stayed pretty swirl free and looked perfect for 4 years. I really wasn't an autopian back then but I checked the paint and it looked flawless when it was traded it in for my V50. Audis paint might be difficult to correct but damaging them isn't so easy either, unless someone uses a dirty sponge or something worse on it. as for the top tool, a rotary and a Cyclo does the job easier than a Top tool IMHO.

Thanks Accumulator :)

Yeah I also love those old single stage paints, the A4 was also a single stage.

The wheel wells and tires got a nice scrub with Allbrites rug up holstery and dressed with Allbrites tire shine after the pictures where taken ;)

A Toptool can sometimes be much faster then a rotary. Believe it or not but I have both a rotary and a TT. A cyclo is IMO a toy compared to the TT ;)

I know you where talking about buying a rotary from Biltema or something like that. Did you buy one? I am going to buy a new AEG rotary since I now sold my Flex vrg.

Actually I got a rotary from Biltema and it works alright. Maybe not as sophisticated as the 10X more expensive ones I have borrowed earlier. My cars are pretty new and kept in good condition so I use it mostly to do cars not as well taken care of as mine.

HOLY CRAP!

I wish I could find a car like that to do that to...it must be SOO gratifying!

Fantastic work...truly impressive.
