Tweeks PorscheFest 2003!

Every year Tweeks the mailorder Porsche (and Corvette and VW part supplier) puts on a huge show for its customers. Several hundred Porsches of all years gather at the company HQ in Effingham, Illinois. People come from many different states throughout the country.

Tweeks provides gifts, T-shirts, lunch, entertainment, swapmeets, product discounts, tech sessions, museum tours, vendor booths, and much more all free! It's an incredible two-day event.

Celebrity judges choose what they feel are the best cars to represent the marque and this year my Carrera C4S won Judges Choice along with 10 other Porsches out of the 100's in attendance. My Carrera also won the Presidents Choice award. I have been invited back next year and my car can be parked and displayed inside the Our Garage museum for the entire event. Cool!

And as a topper to it all, my friend with a Carrera Twin Turbo, who I just helped buff out his rather beaten paint job just three weeks ago, also won a Judges Choice award. So two cars on the podium were "detailed by Brad"!:D

We received really cool awards (A large solid block of engraved marble.) and had our photo professionally taken on the podium with the Tweeks president, Mike Yeager.

See hundreds

of Porsches here!

Congrats Brad! :bow :bow

Lets see a shot of the trophy, sounds like it is amazing.:up :bow

That sounds like quite an event, now if I only had a Porsche so I could attend these events.:D

Thanks guys.:o

Here's a shot of the trophy which doesn't do it justice. It's a lot nicer than it looks here. The etching is of the same graphic used on the event poster and T-shirts.

Brad...your talents never cease to amaze me! Got a place in the "Sanctuary" for the trophy yet? :xyxthumbs :spot

Congratulations Brad! However, I am really not surprised that you won with your attention to detail. I remember the lengths you went to just to stop a squeak. I can imagine the other contestants were upset about competing against a car that looks like it never sees the road. Great job!
