Tweeking OGSO

I have been using OG Show Off for many years but I've

always had one gripe. It's a bear to buff in. It tends to

leave streaks if not buffed the whole way.

Tried both Fieldcrest's and MF's.

This morning I said to myself, self why don't you cut the

OGSO with some water. Well to my surprise it worked.

The Show Off buffed right in with minimal effort compared

to full strength and the shine is almost as strong.

I put about an ounce of SO to about 10 ounces of water

in an old SO spray bottle. I'm sure it can be tweeked a little

more.

Would any other SO users out there confirm my findings

when you get a chance?

The only time I had any problems was when I used too much or the surface was too hot..Other than that I don't have any trouble with streaking.

Great info on Show-Off. It's one of my favorite quick detailers and the idea of watering it down sounds like a good way to stop possible streaking. Also, it's a great way to save on QD'er! :xyxthumbs

I agree with Lone Wolf on this one, I think heat is the main culprit. I'm going to venture to say that the streaks are actually dried up carnuaba. Watering it down means less wax, which means less streaking. The wax content is the main reason I use OGSO and EFCP and watering them down is really cutting down on my main objective.

It's a good idea though if you just want to clean off dust or add a quick shine with less protection. In those scenarios I use Final Inspection though.

I hear ya. But I was getting streaking on both hot and cold

surfaces. Temperature made no difference.

I use my QD for two aspects :

1 - A post wash shine boost and waterspot removal.

2 - A shine booster and microstreak eliminator when I CD.

I Blitz often so the basic shine and protection is there already.

So for me full strength OGSO is not a must but easy application

is nice.

I'm gonna try a 50/50 [distilled] proportion to see how that works.

How was the slickness after using the diluted solution?

The OGSO really brings back the slickness at full strength. It would be great if it diluted also.
