Turtle Wax Ice now has a new place in my detailing kit. I ran out of my regular plastic protectant, so I remembered I put the Ice away after being thoroughly disappointed at it's performance on paint.
Well I wanted to clean the dirt and polish residues on my trucks trim and thought I might as well just use it since it says safe for plastic. I think this is what the original purpose for this product should have been. Less people would have been disappointed.
I just wipe on with a terry towel and buff off with a MF. It cleans up the white residue with less effort than armor all and leaves a nice semi-gloss sheen to the plastic which does not attract dirt because there's no oily remnant on the plastic, it also buffs cleanly off paint so it's not as much of a hassle as armor all. Best part is it's not super slick so I can also use it on my trucks step rails and not fear about slipping and falling.
Oh yeah I was wondering why I couldn't post this all afternoon.
