Hi everyone,

well for the last 3 days I have done 3 full AND PAID details (one per day), I am posting this first detail (which was the last of the three, but I finished it today) will maybe post the others tomorrow or another day as different threads as there are too many pictures for the poor modem people (bless), and it takes too long to do them all right now, sorry I am tired! :)

OK, so this project was a TVR Griffith 500 (I think V8), an 11 year old somewhat neglected car, this beast is capable of 0-60 in 4.5 seconds, the body is made of fibreglass! I wasn't at all sure how this would work out, but in the end it seemed quite a good result, let me know what you think.

My process,

Wash BMW shampoo

Clay (Yellow)

Wheels BMW acid

Tyres Z16

Interior Leather Z10

#83 and SFX1 pads to attempt to remove swirls

#80 and SFX2 pads to reduce marring from #83

AIO on green sonus pads

NXT blue sonus pad

P21s by hand

I like them one per day's myself. It gives you time to do a great detail like the one you posted. That car is a trip, kinda funky kinda cool. Is there a funky space between the door and front fender, or is that just a funky angle?

Ya the leather was completely gone, never been touched in 11 years, I will be driving it on the weekend. Yes Burlyq, that is a 'funky space' between the doors, very weird huh ? :)

STUNNING transformation Paul!!! :2thumbs: I'm glad to see you getting compensated for your efforts!! :up

TVR...is that a Russian make??

Love the TVRs! The blue is also a personal preference.

Nice job! Can't wait to see the other two.

Excellent detail Axe!

Yep, it was a TVR Tuscan in Swordfish. TVR is is british company that was recently sold to a 24yr old Russian for £15m (approx. $28m). They have just release a new monster, the Sagaris, 0-60mph in 3.7secs, 0-100mph in 8.1secs.

Thanks for all the kind words everyone :) , and thanks to the 'petrol heads' for filling in the details about this car. I thought it might be appreciated on here, the owner said it was his dream car to own, and before he made his money that was the car he dreamed about owning. Needless to say he made enough money to buy it (and several other cars) - it was hard work bringing it back, I think I reached the limit of what a PC can and can't do on this car!

Oh yes, and name of the car came from the originator Trevor Wilkinson, I think based in BlackPool ... TreVoR Wilkinson :)

I had a trip around the lakes in a 500 with some extras from the racing scheme.

At the time my Cosworth (280bhp) was my daily drive, 1st gear seemed similar but in 2nd, 3rd and 4th in the TVR were mind bending ... :bow

Nice detail by the way !

WD :xyxthumbs
