Tutorials?

Well, Im very new to detailing (and this site), but love my car. I started as most of the public does, thinking a wash with some soap and drying with a rag will suffice. As I've learned in most aspects of life, more research is required! After searching the internet and this site I have bought myself a PC system and polishes+waxes, but find my self lacking the proper direction on applying and knowing what exactly Im looking at when I see a car's finish. I agree that my reasearch has definetly helped and experimenting on older cars will benifit me, but I am really looking for someone to meet up with so I can visually see and possibly get some direction on how to properly handle the machine and my choice of polishes, etc, as well as see some real results. I'm not even sure this is the right forum for such a post, but anyone in Upstate, NY near Delhi interested in such a get together please e-mail or PM me!
