I just got Turtle wax zip wax wash over christmas. I want to know if anyone else have used this product. What are ur thoughts on it and if u would recomended it? Thanks in advance :book:

mnot as gentle as some, but will get the job done. but bath towels will dry a car and get the job done as well. doesnt mean its good.

If you are concerned about harshness or lack of softness or slickness, could you add more than the instructions indicate?
Myself, I avoid most anything Turtle.

the new turtle wax ultra wash is good. right on par with mothers california gold.

I've never used it so all I can say is try it and write back what you think of it.

i had some and didnt like it. not many suds, didnt last long, not much lubicity, and it seemed harsh

if you are looking for a good wax i recommend using mother's carnuba or meguiars. basically you want easy application and easy removal. why work more when you don't have to. these two products are good for both protection and removal. turtle wax has good protection, but removal and excess goop can be a pain. just stay away from the eges of the body when waxing. it's ok to miss these edges you will not be able to see a difference.

Autoprecise,

Agent is refering to a soap to wash his car with and not wax. :)

Agent,

I am not particular to Turtle wax products. That's just me but I would not use them. Meguiar's, Poorboy's, P21S make good washes and many more!
.

Yeah, your right sorry biggy. Just wanted to bring it up in case he pursued other turtle wax brands. as far as the topic of car wash soap. the trick is in a clean shamois and wash mit. car was soaps are not really that big of a deal. most of them are watered down from the factory. so the turtle wax soap will work just fine, just don't use dish soap

oh yeah, if you are interested in the wax and car wash soap compined products on the market. i find the best way to accomplish the results you truly wish to gain is wash the vehicle and do the waxing the old fashioned way.

thanks, biggy for helping me clear that up.

I just used it last weekend for the first time. The car looked great. But later in the week we had some rain and the car is dirty. I wash it again and post some pics to see what u guys think.:howdy I have to see how it last for durable. I like the product. My dad was amazed by it and that I only washed it, no wax. I can only see how it looks if washed and waxed it with the turtle wax platium.

 The thread 16 months old was posted in Dec 05 and it is now April 06This is longest:lol: car wash i've ever read about

I've used it (Zip Wax) and I don't think it was all that bad. Not entirely terrible lubricity, cleaned the car, and *I* got a good amount of sudsing.
One thing, though, is that it doesn't rinse off quickly. You'll likely have more water left on the car to dry off than you're used to if you use something like Meg's Deep Crystal shampoo. On the other hand, it doesn't seem to leave as many water spots as some do if you left the car to "air dry."

I used to use the TW Zip Wash product regularly. I found it to be an average OTC wash, it cleans well. Nothing great, but not bad either in terms lubricity and harshness. I haven't had any in a while, but unless there have been changes to the formulation, it should perform just average. :)
