Truck wheels

I have a set of steel panted truck wheels that need to be re coated with primer and paint. I was wondering what type of paint (spray can) or other will do the job and last a while.

I would like just to recover and touch up the wheels not sandblast and totally re do the things. They are in decent shape just in need of a re squirt. Will I need a high temp paint? or just a regular type.:inspector:

Any and all ideas will be appreciated...:bigups :surrender :howdy

I would use a high temp paint myself, especially if the truck will be carrying some work load and heating up disc brakes. You can get engine enamel at places like Pep Boy's and Auto Zone that withstands up to 500 degrees F. that would do just fine.

Nothing wrong with using high temp paint but under normal driving you wheel will not get hot warm but not hot.

If your wheel reaches 500 degrees your brakes are on fire. :rofl

i would scuff or sand them and then use Automotive spray paint then clear them ... you can use the High Temp if you want but it would be over kill ;)
