Truck & trailer pics, new website

Hey guys, I've been full time with my mobile detail gig for about 2 months now. I got a request on another board to post pics of my truck and trailer so I figure I'd post them here as well. I apologize in advance for the truck not being freshly washed...hehe. I also need to throw some tire gel on the trailer tires.

As you can see from my pics, the inside of my trailer could use some better organization. I'm hoping that during my slow times during the winter I can figure out some ways to better organize everything. If you have suggestions, I'd love to hear them!

Lastly, my website is now up. Feel free to check it out. If can't figure out what the URL is, you can get it by clicking on my screen name.

Alright, thanks for looking! :xyxthumbs

Here: Bucket Dollies

I highly suggest buying them! I've had 3 back surgeries so they are literally a back saver for me. The one problem I have with them is they sometimes roll away from me when I'm working on an incline...hehe. I give them two :xyxthumbs .

EDIT: The wand-less gun is ok. I am kinda 50/50 on it. I feel like it's easier to use from the waist up, but when I need to get low it'd be nice to have the wand on it. Since my foam gun is a quick connect, it was either the wand and no foam gun or the foam gun and no wand...I chose the foam gun :) :

Do you like your 2 gallon extractor (i dont know what the name of it is)? I am thinking about purchasing one but i dont know how well they work. are they easy to use? is there a heck of a lot of differences beetween manually shampoing over extracting?

By the way i love your setup! i got some great ideas from you, THANKS!

AppliedColors,

Thanks for the compliments! I will get an air compressor one of these days. I was spending so much money the week I bought my trailer, I deemed an air compressor as an expense that I could wait to buy. I do want one though.

baseballllover1,

Yes, I like my Durrmaid extractor. It's the right size for a mobile detailer. When doing bigger vehicles (mini-vans, med-lg. SUV's, etc.) I wish it was a little bigger as I run out of water occasionally. It takes 17 minutes to fully heat the water so that's one of the downfalls I guess. Now that I have it, I couldn't go back to not having one. I really feel like I can do a better job with it. I need to get a crevice tool though because the standard wand cannot get into certain areas. I got mine from ADS. Thanks for the compliments!

By the way, I've seen a few of your threads and such. One piece of advice I can give you is that you'll learn a lot by trial and error. Looking back, I wish I would not have purchased a lot of products that are now just collecting dust on my shelves, but I also know that if I hadn't tried them, I wouldn't have the knowledge to know what products I like the most. I also asked many questions on here and other boards in hopes that when I went to set everything up, I would have all the answers. Like I said, it's trial and error and I've learned that you just have to do it. It's great to have a general idea on how to do things, but until you do it yourself, you really won't know exactly how things work best for you. Ok, just my $.02 to try and help ya out.

 Very nice setup. Love the trailer, and good organization.

Love the sign, " This could be your vehicle" hehe

Thanks! My wife came up with the "This could be your vehicle". She's a graphic designer so she's come in real handy for me! She came up with my business name, design, signs, flyers, business cards, website look and layout, etc.

Wow Mike, Great set up! I can't say how impressed I am. Great little sign too, probably some pretty inexpensive and effective advertising. You look organized, that saves time and money.

I am bookmarking this tread for when I get sick of my job and become a detailer. lol

And darn you... I just like 10 mins ago talked myself out of getting a foam gun. Now you go show a Jeep Liberty covered in foam. :)

Edit: Tell your wife great job on the logo. Very cool! I noticed it awhile back when you changed your avatar.

BlueZero,

Thank you for your kind words, I REALLY appreciate it! It makes me feel really good to know that people think so highly of my setup.

I use the foam gun as a "pre-treat" prior to washing. I really like it :)

My wife was very flattered when I read your post to her. She said to tell you THANKS!

Driven, I have a supplier buddy in the 317 area code, could I pass your info along?

Extreamly professional looking. You and your wife did an awesome job on the set up. Actaully inspires me in a few areas. Great job. Now just get the truck painted silver to match LOL.

Excellent setup, organization, and graphics!

Tell your wife again that she did an excellent job. The logo/type is simple, eye catching, and classy. I also love your organization... gives me ideas for the shop. The sign/pamphlet holder is also a great idea. I've heard it mentioned a few times but have not seen it implemented yet.

Good luck on your increased business.:woot: :2thumbs:

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who hasn't hard-mounted their pressure washer to their trailer. Some of my biggest clients supply water and power and for those jobs, I leave the trailer in the garage.

Excellent set-up! I'm very impressed.
