Tried some Migliore Wax

I figured if I'm going to try a new wax, I better try the best one that they offer. I recently detailed up a friend's Volvo S60R. I did a two step machine polish using SIP with orange CCS and Super Finish with white CCS. I used Migliore Wheel Seal on the wheels which definitely gave the wheels a nice candy glow. Bella Lustra tire glaze was used, which is one of the easiest to apply tire dressings on the market, very very even finish, but it did require two coats to get the finish I was looking for. Migliore Prezidentziale was used on all the paintwork. I used a bare hands method for application which covered very evenly, and thin. I didn't even put a dent in the jar, as a little goes a long way. The wax has a nice smooth consistency, much smoother than Vintage, kinda similar to Supernatural. I let the wax sit for a few minutes, then wiped down with a microfiber. It took several passes to get it rubbed out, and after I was all done I went over the car with a new towel, and some ice cold R.O. water a couple of hours later. Overall the product is not the easiest to use wax, BUT it's definitely rewarding, has a nice candy like glow and is very very slick to the touch. I will definitely be playing with more Migliore products in the near future.

I've used it, still have some. Its a lot of work to remove, yes it looks great when you finish, but durability is poor in comparison to something like SN or Vintage. After the first wash I noticed the "oils" that give it the glow are gone. I'm not that impressed with it really. I guess it would be good for a pre show wax or a trailer queen.

Keep us posted John, you always seem to get the best out of products.

Cheers,

GREG

John great write up. Car looks great man. Then again with your polishing skills I would not expect anything less?

Greg which migliore wax have you tried?

I have the comp wax, I was asked to test it out and report back. I think its an okay wax for the weekend warrior, as the time frame it takes to deal with it.

I've used Frutta and Fine, they seem to hold up pretty well. As noted, removal is kind of a pain. Seems easiest on mild, dry days (temps in the 70s/low 80s) and using a couple of thick nap MF towels.

Nice job on the detail!
