Trade Secret Wax

I did a search and found some posts from 04. People back then seemed to like it, but that's been many years ago.

Has anyone used this wax lately? It's from a company in Arkansas. How does it compare to some of the waxes of today? Seems to be reasonably priced.

Thanks.

I'm just wondering if it's like Souveran, or Victoria red wax. If so I already have enough of these. I love trying different stuff, but it seems lately many of the products look very similar. Well similar enough that I don't feel like spending hundreds of dollars for basically the same products (different names)

Have used it and the company from Arkansas is well known. Easy on and easy off but I forgot if it stains trim or not. they also make Pazziz which is also good but a few dollars cheaper.Trade Seceret is just as good as PS21 (100 percent) if not better. The name of the company is called Top of the line

I have it. Seldom use it with the choices I have, not near as nice as Pete's 53 or victoria red but it has it's own traits. Better then dodo juice and normal S100.

Yeah, the store's in Arkansas. Not that far from me. I guess I never heard of them until the other day. I may order it and see how it does. It's only 35.00. I happen to like P21S 100%. So if it's similar or better that's great to hear.

I see that they sell Blackfire as well. Is this Carnauba worth trying too? Or is it similar to most of the waxes many of us already have?

shakashaunz, I just re-read your post. I have both Pete's 53, and Victoria red coming next week. I miss-spoke when I said I had enough of Victoria's. I have three tubs of Souveran.

What kind of look in your opinion does it have compared to Pete's and Victoria? And out of those two how do Pete's and Victoria compare to each other?

Just curious. Thanks.

For me on my car which is a metallic black it doesn't do anything special It's a nice wax don't get me wrong, easy on and off, nice slick finish but it kinda muted the flake and didn't add much in terms of depth. If a wax mutes the flake I expect it to add a lot of depth in exchange. Victoria on the other hand adds a lot of depth while still leaving a good amount of flake pop. petes is one of my favorites in my collection, On my car it leaves the paint looking amazing, has an awesome warm glow and the light just shimmers off of it. For my money I think it's hard to beat petes.

I have black metallic as well. If it mutes the flake, then it's just like Souveran, and I have enough of this stuff to last me years. A great wet look don't get me wrong, but the last thing I need is 3 tubs of Souveran (which I have) and then another tub of basically the same stuff. LOL

Have you ever tried Blackfire? Or has anyone else tried Blackfire on black metallic? If so what were the results? Is it any better than Fuzion, Souveran, P21s 100%, Pete's 53, Lusso Oro, or the Victoria Red, I'm receiving this week.

I was also thinking about trying Zymol Glasur, but I don't know if it's worth trying Zymol with all the other stuff I have.

If you want a ton of flake pop try maxwax. Dont get the wrong idea just because its not priced high. Its a truly underrated wax for metallic paints.

Thanks for the recommendation. I may try Maxwax when I order some more stuff from AG.

Have you used Maxwax compared to any of the waxes on my list above? If so does it compare to any of these? I guess it's getting to the point where many of the waxes are basically giving me the same look.. If you know what I mean. I guess I'm looking for that WOW factor..

The best flake pop I have found was SWAX from Deep Finish and its definately priced right. I would most definately give it a try.

My wife has a white (blizard pearl metalic) Toyota Highlander 2008 - I've used several sealants- Z2, Blackfire and DG111, and Souveran - but the best flake pop, is Dodo Hard Candy, works even better than the wax for white - White Diamond. Try some - only draw back is like Souveran - 6 weeks and need to reapply.

I've only tried the fuzion, souveran, and lusso oro.

As good as maxwax is for flake pop I think its more suited for light metallic colors. Since you have a black metallic I think fuzion goes best with that. I don't know if you've tried it but its like a middle ground between souveran and maxwax. It won't mute flake but it still looks deep. IMO flake won't pop as much as maxwax and it won't glow as much as souveran but its kind of a happy medium. It does it well also.

I know what you mean about not seeing much of a difference between waxes. I mentioned in another post how my father sees my car all the time but only once have I got a strong reaction out of him and that was with maxwax. But than again my car is a metallic silver.

I'm kind of done with purchasing any more waxes. For my car alone I aleady found what I like and I have enough variety for anyone elses needs.

I found the look to be similar to Pinnacle Sig. Series...It is a very nice wax.

As far as muting the flake on a metallic, I have never seen any LSP that mutes flake.:think: If someone says their flake is muted, I would blame it on poor lighting.

A properly detailed metallic should always pop*, in the sun.

Thanks for the help guys..

What's the word on Blackfire products? I've done some searching and some people love it, and some say it's just ok. Is it worth buying, or is it just another good Souveran, Pinnacle II look a like? I know the same guy who came up with Souveran produced Blackfire. So I'm wondering if it's the same, or similar enough to where it wouldn't be worth buying.

I've been thinking about trying just the Blackfire wax, and use it with jetseal109, or just going ahead and buying the Wet-Ice over Fire kit, but I'm kind of up in the air if I should or not.

Any thoughts?
