these are terrrible to clean........they are semi water proof (water resistant) but not stain proof....so its like the seats can get stained, but you cant clean the stain out becasuse of the water resistant material in the seat......a steam cleaner does nothing
HOW DO YOU CLEAN THESE SEATS....? these seats were a highlander

i have a customer with a prius and i was freaking out about my extractor not working very well so the 2nd time around i used an apc with a mild brush and it worked real good . i used a citrus based cleaner .. good luck

The dry method will work better than any extractor or wet vac in this case.

Here's what I would do. Spray a light mist of a APC on the seats and let it sit for a minute and work its magic. Then fold up a cotton towel, not a microfiber. And spray a light mist on it also. Then proceed to lightly wipe the seats. back and forth motions work best.

This should help you out. You may need to repeat your process but it will work.

Have fun, i hate them type of seats.

what works great for me, is "409 All-Purpose-Cleaner" (do not get the lemon scent, it will stain) -
1. get a small, hand held, heard brissel brush
2. wrap a damp terry cloth towel around the brush
3. Spray the cleaner on the seat and on the towel part that will be touching the seat
4. Scrub

It works for me

The APC works quite well I agree with BR and TD. I have had similar success with APC on Mini Cooper seats. But sometimes there is nothing you can do. My Mom has an 07 Scion and the front seats got this strange blotchiness on the sides of the seat bottoms and nothing I used worked. Last week she had new factory seat covers put on under the factory warranty. I can't believe the stupid tech put the covers on and they are the wrong color and pattern. Now she has to go back to the dealer next week.
