Hi, what about the yellow cotton towels you always see besidw MF? The yellow with usually red seams, there real soft, are the ok to use?? Anyone use these?? thx
 
Careful of those seams, could be polyester and scratch. I might use one in a pinch to apply something like Prep-All or 3m Adhesive Cleaner.

The quality of the MF is more important than the 80/20 or 70/30 mix. Theoretically a 70/30 should be able to absorb/pick up more water, but the quality of the MF fiber and construction seems to have more impact than just the material ratio.



All these MF’s are coming in from offshore factories we know nothing (or very little) about. About the only useful info we can glean from the tag is the material ratio and the country it was made in. I have both 70/30 and 80/20 MF’s and if I didn’t know that from the tag, I’d be hard pressed to tell the difference.



The best thing is to buy them from reputable sources like Patrick and Ranney:
