Totaly sold on ONR

Hi All,

After reading some posts here on Autopia about the Eagle One Tire Dressing I went in to a local autoparts store yesterday to look for it. I have read some fellow posters here say that Eagle had changed the formula for their tire dressing or it was discontinued. Can you please tell me what the bottle of the old tire dressing looks like? Because the Eagle One Tire Dressing I saw in this autoparts store was labeled with "Eagle One Satin Finish Tire Shine" and it was selling approximately $7-$8. Here is a link to the bottle I am referring to.

Is this the real mccoy? Or can you recommend a good tire dressing. Not to shiny, not to dull but just right. :)

Thank you and Aloha,
RP

Yeah that's the one Eagle One does not make anymore. I use it, and like it. I hope you are not getting it from that website, $9.95/bottle is a ripoff.

I got some ONR last week amongst other things. I'm sold already.

It's very versatile and easy to use. I think Optimum is my new favorite detailing company.

I've done two ONR washes, used some as a QD and, most recently, detailed my 3 year old macbook pro for the first time ever. Not to mention I've barely touched the 32 oz bottle.

Why didn't you guys tell me how awesome this stuff was sooner?

i heard good things about them ill have to give it a try can anyone compare these to 3h hd free product?

I love ONR, and I happen to think that this is truly the ONE detailing product that everyone should keep in their inventory. It is such a versatile product, and does all things well. Being from the North East, we get some pretty bad winters. If not for ONR, my car would have to be filthy all winter long.

I also think Optimum is at the top of the game. I have tried many of their products, and have yet to be dissapointed.:hurray:

could you be more specific about how its versatile and have you tried hd free?

Sure.
First, it is used as a rinceless wash. You can also use it as a QD. Another use it has is as a clay lube. You can increase the strength of the dilution ratio and use it as a pre-treat on dirty cars before doing a ONR wash. You can use it to clean your wheels.
Not sure what HD Free is.

In addition to the uses Barry mentioned, I love it as a "dust removal" quick wash after compounding/buffing with products that tend to dust. It's a real time saver over a complete rewash and dry.

I actually just purchased a gallon of ONR after I fell in love with it and used up all my 16oz size one. This is the first time I'll get to use the "new formula" ONR though. Can't wait to get it.

When I have used it with traditional soap, it dramatically reduces the suds. I have soft water but wanted to see what it did.

Al,
I have very hard water, and never noticed that it reduced the suds from my wash shampoo. What shampoo are you using? I used it with Opt. Car Wash and it gave tons of suds.

I use it daily. During the cold months with warm water as a car wash, and daily as a detail spray for cleaning glass, wiping brake dust off wheels, quick "road splash" details, clean up of bug guts and bird bombs. Great stuff.

It's my most used product...

It's a great product to use and have, and remember folks the SEMA Sale going on right now, so stock up eveyone!

Now that you have tried ONR you should check out Ultima Waterless Wash Plus. Makes and even cheaper QD, clay lube, interior cleaner and of course a waterless wash. One 16oz bottle of concentrait will make like 5.5gals of product. You can't go wrong having them both in your aresenal. ONR for your no rinse needs and Ultima Waterless Wash for everything else.

I have looked all over the Shop PAC Site and for the life of me can't find the Ultima Waterless Wash product. The ONR is quite obvious, but the Ultima must be hidden in a separate category.

haha suds i had to look that up i can see why less suds in soap water help when washing a car thanks for your input
