Toronto Weekend Detail -2006 Nissan Titan

First off, sorry for the poor quality pics.

I thought the lighting would have been better in this tire shop, but that wasn't the case nor was my flash on my camera on, either.

It looked a helluva lot wetter and deeper in person. I would have taken it outside for pics, but it was snowing like hell !

This truck was newly purchased. It had been sitting on a lot for weeks. I inspected the paint there were no swirls nor blemishes except for a few light scratches on the hood which Optimum Polish took care of. Other than that, it was smooth sailing on this big beast. Lots of territory to cover.

Poorboys Super Slick Suds Wash

Optimum Polish on hood via pc, orange pad speed 5

[i know, i know, for once i didn't need my rotary, still brought it with me :-) ]

VM sonus green pad , pc , speed 5

RMG blue sonus pad, pc speed 5

Meg's #21, black pad, pc , speed 4

Souveran by hand

Wheels - upp

tires - poorboys bold n bright

I was really impressed with Meg's #21 and how it left the finish super slick. Almost UPP- like , no joke.

The Souveran topper did not mute the "slickness" one bit. I'll know re-do this bad boy come spring when its been swirled up and then have some serious photos.

Nice! Questions though:

1. How much weight do you put on the PC when polishing?

2. Why'd you use VM then RMG? Isn't that redundant?

3. It's interesting that you use speed 5 for applying RMG. I'd have used 3.5 at the most. If you used speed 4 for applying #21, wouldn't that have "disturbed" the previous layer of RMG?

Did you have an after picture before the Souveran. Did you note a difference in the appearance before and after the Souveran.

Just am interested because I have been using Souveran a lot lately on my black truck.

Yours looks terrific!! Love Black!! Sometimes I hate it though, because of all the work that it requires

1. - not much at all , let the machine do most of the work

2. a bit so. but RMG to my knowledge is even lighter and more of a glaze

3. 4 is too slow for my liking. Didn't disturb anything from my view

not at the moment.. as i mentioned, the lighting was really poor for pics..

but there was a significant difference after the souveran.

Even as dark as the pictures are, you can really tell how wet the truck looks. :)

Interesting you should note the paint's overall excellent condition. I have a regular with a Nissan Titan and while it has a few light scratches from hunting trips, the lack of spider swirling on a 1 year old vehicle is very impressive. It may help that only I wash it but even so, the paint still looks incredible for being a year old and having only been waxed 3 or 4 times without any polishing.
