Topping Zaino with S100?

I'm sure this has been asked before, and I didn't use the search button like I should have, hehe. But I was wondering how this would work. I understand that after the S100, I can't apply anymore coats of Zaino until the S100 wears off, because the Zaino won't bond to the carnuba, right? And is it possible to layer the S100 like you can Zaino?

I disagree as you can layer a high quality wax like S100 or Souveran paste. However a 24 hour wait period is required. I really do think the high quality waxes do layer but .......

Who really knows for sure?

Furthermore, I think that adding s100 on top of Zaino just clouded up my finish. I'm not sure that you really get anything extra out of the deal other than the piece of mind in knowing you just put a mil of wax on your finish.

Im sure it didnt cloud up you finish unless you did something wrong. There is no real reason to layer S100 or Souveran it doesnt give a better shine and will start to get messy. Its usally the acrylics and polymers that layer very well and the effects are visible.

Umm, wax doesn't cure, bond, crosslink... it just sits there. So why the 24-hour wait? Additional applications of wax just ensures coverage and allows for more oils.

Correct, no more Zaino can be applied. And carnaubas cannot be layered due to their solvent and oil content which dissolves the previous coat.

Agreed :up
