Topping Turtle Wax ICE with NXT?

I've read many positive responses on here about Turtle Wax ICE liquid polish and really want to try it out. I normally use Meguiar's Deep Crystal Polish as a polish but I work by hand and I have to do 3 cars and let's face it I don't have the time or strength to do that much in one day. All I really want to know is if I can apply NXT wax after I use the ICE polish?

Yes I heard you can polish fairly quickly and you get a great shine and gloss although it doesn't last as long but it might if it's topped with NXT.

You got that from this forum? I don't think NXT will stay on because there a lot of silicone in the ICE. And I don't think it'll ever be consider a polish by ANY means on here.

Guys when you work by hand, there is a whole new outlook on nice. An Meguiars is a great hand polish, just stick with that

Got to point out that Megs Deep Crystal Polish (Step 2) has no cleaners and no abrasive content. It just a pure polish (a glaze), you should use step 1 as well.

Also NXT by hand over DC2 will give you the best results, it will help fill swirl marks.

If you want a good product that will both clean your paintwork, give a light abrasive polishing action as well as fill marks get some Autoglym Super Resin polish. You can then then top with NXT.

Thank you for actually contributing to the thread.

I do have DC1 and know that DC2 is a pure polish. I was just asking about ICE because I heard you can apply and remove in about 30 minutes and what I want is to save time. NXT is said to make swirls less visible so I thought it was a good combination to use ICE first and then NXT.

ICE "polish" is actually a wax, so to apply NXT would be wasteful.

My ICE applications last about a month, so just try that for a while.

ICE contains more cleaners than does something like Aquawax. For that reason, I use my stock of ICE as my trim cleaner/dresser. It works really well for that. For paint, it's super easy to apply and lasts decently for an OTC product and the shine is pretty shiny. I like ICE for what it does but it's well overpriced. However, the bottle seems like it lasts forever so I might be wrong in overestimating it's costs.

My experience with ICE on paint is that it doesn't stick to anything and some waxes doesn't stick to it. I only conclude the latter because when I applied mother's to top ICE, buffing seemed to meet a lot more resistance. I only did that once so it might've been a fluke.
